hey hey! oh thank heavens it’s getting closer to the end of the week which also signals mashup time here on popbytes! this week with david bowie celebrating the big six-zero (his birthday was actually on jan 8th) our lovely DJ paul v. picked a cool smooth track featuring the legendary cool cat bowie! (who is lending his voice along with madonna in arthur and the invisibles) i do hope we’ll get some new hot bowie tracks sometime this year! popbytes over & out for now…xxoo!

This week I bow down to one of my idols, David Bowie. The Thin White Duke turned [gulp] 60 this week, and I’ve wanted to feature this mashup for ages, so it’s perfect. LA’s own Arbiters mix Bowie’s ‘Fame’ and Lou Reed‘s ‘Walk On The Wild Side’ (which Bowie co-produced) with some hip-hop flava from Notorious BIG, Tupac, and others. It’s nice ‘n smooth but streetwise, too.
