Daft Punk "Get Lucky" Condoms

I really love the latest Daft Punk album, Random Access Memories, and I really love when people promote safer sex, here’s a news story about how Daft Punk now has their own line of condoms based off their track, “Get Lucky.” Because when you’re practising safer sex, you can probably count on the guys who wear helmets everywhere they go. Pitchfork reports …

It was only a matter of time before someone seized the opportunity to use Daft Punk’s ubiquitous “Get Lucky” in a marketing campaign for a sex-related product. According to NME, Durex has apparently teamed up with Daft Punk to make a “Get Lucky” brand of condoms, imprinted with the Daft Punk logo and that now-famous image of Daft Punk, Pharrell, and Nile Rodgers in front of a blazing sun. It’s unclear if the condoms will be available to the general public, but Durex has apparently been sending promotional packages to DJs.

Actually, I might be reading too far into these but pretty much every song Daft Punk has ever released could be used as the name of a line of condoms. Seriously, think of a Daft Punk song and you can make it sound dirty with the absolute minimum effort. “Around The World?” “One More Time?” “Harder Better Faster Stronger?” If you can name a Daft Punk song that doesn’t sound like something you’d shout during sex, congratulations, you are a warlock, and I refuse to be taken in by some dirty warlock.
