courtney love – pacific coast highway
March 30, 2009 MICHAEL KNUDSEN

good morning! last week (thanks again to a tip from pal sheena beaston) i got the chance to listen to the upcoming courtney love album nobody’s daughter releasing overseas on june 8th (although we’re not 100% sure it’s the final version but i think it must be very close – the album has been in the can for quite a long time) if ms. love decides to release a single – it simply has to be pacific coast highway – the first cut off the excellent album (which was produced by linda perry & billy corgan) check it out for yourself below – i’ve been listening to it non-stop (i posted a live version almost two years ago) hopefully the album will get a proper release in the states – i’m just thrilled it’s finally coming out somewhere – i’ve been waiting five long years for the follow-up to her first solo effort america’s sweetheart (which i happened to adore) popbytes over & out for now … xoxo

PS now you can follow ms. love on twitter – her updates are just as random & cryptic as her myspace blog postings! (which she’s now being sued over)

I knew a boy, he came from the sea

He was the only boy who ever knew the truth about me

I’m overwhelmed and undersexed

Oh baby what did you expect?

I’m overwrought and so disgraced

And too ashamed to show my face

And they’re coming to take me away

What I want I will never have

I’m on the Pacific Coast Highway

With your gun in my hands…
