Earlier this morning, pictures circulated of Chris Brown hanging out with Rihanna in a New York City bar, which everyone assumed meant that they were getting back together. But that couldn’t be right, could it? It’s not like we live in a society that enables abuse, do we? But then I remembered last night’s episode of South Park and realized that yes, we are terrible and that’s why Chris dumped his girlfriend to get back together with Rihanna. Someone call up James Cameron so that he can raise the bar already. TMZ reports …
Brown just made the announcement … saying, “I have decided to be single to focus on my career. I love Karrueche (Tran) very much but I don’t want to see her hurt over my friendship with Rihanna.” He adds, “I’d rather be single allowing us to both be happy in our lives.” The announcement comes after Brown and Rihanna were spotted together at the Jay Z concert in Brooklyn last night. The two had been hanging around each other A LOT lately … and did some hardcore flirting at the MTV VMAs. Karrueche had posted a cryptic tweet last night reading, “Bye baby.”
Sure, Karrueche Tran may have been unceremoniously dumped for getting in between Chris and Rihanna’s horrifically unhealthy relationship, but on the plus side, this probably marks the first time a woman has ever gotten out of a relationship with Chris without any bruises. On the downside, there are now scores of women desperate for the chance at a shot with someone who’s defining career move is “punching his girlfriend.” That’s not messed up at all.
