good evening! actress cameron diaz was honored in hollywood today – she received the 2,386th star along hollywood blvd’s walk of fame (her vanilla sky co-star tom cruise along with wife katie holmes were in attendance) i don’t mind ms. diaz at all but in all honesty – i didn’t really want to write a post about her (or her upcoming movie my sister’s keeper which looks like a total drag) i’m simply using this latest star ceremony as another opportunity to vent about my beloved bea arthur still not having her own star! now that she recently passed away – girlfriend has to wait five years for a posthumous nomination – which is totally insane to me – ms. arthur was an award-winning star of stage and screen – who sincerely deserves the honor – unlike some people who already have their star like mary-kate and ashley olsen or ryan seacrest – shame on whoever makes these decisions! maybe they’ll make an exception – five years seems like an awfully long time to wait to honor someone supremely talented like ms. arthur – who was true class act! popbytes over & out for now … xoxo
