The ladies are in the house this week: one’s a legend of new wave and punk rock, the other is practically British royalty (even though she’s an Aussie through and through). It’s probably fair to say that Debbie Harry & Blondie inspired a teen Kylie Minogue when ‘Call Me’ was accompanying Richard Gere hawking his studhood in ‘American Gigolo.’ For sure, Giorgio Moroder (its original producer) can be heard in some of Kylie’s most recent electro-dance tracks.
