oh lordy – please say it ain’t so – tom cruise has supposedly set his crazy sights on remaking the classic 1969 film butch cassidy and the sundance kid playing robert redford‘s part and wants his scientology partner-in-crime john travolta to star alongside him in the role made famous by paul newman – who supposedly gave his remake blessing to mr. cruise before he passed away! (maybe stepford wife katie holmes can take on katherine ross‘ role – ugh) of course i’m not a big fan of remakes but when it comes to classic award-winning films like ‘butch cassidy’ – a remake is a complete travesty! what’s next – a remake of the godfather? hopefully this is all just a silly rumor – i can’t imagine seeing ‘em trying to recreate cinematic magic – people need to know when to leave well enough alone! popbytes over & out for now … xoxo
