As some of you might remember, reports circulated last month that Britney Spears would be fired from The X Factor once the season ended, and then Jason Trawick would dump her because throwing massive life-changes at someone who doesn’t have the psychological capacity to deal with it never ends horribly. Well, it turns out Britney’s not getting fired after all, because TMZ is reporting that she just quit instead, presumably by spelling out “I QUIT, BITCH!” in Cheetos.
We have unimpeachable sources who tell us Britney loves the show but wants to focus on her music … which she is doing right now. Britney is in the studio recording her 8th album, with some help from Will.i.am and producer Hit-Boy, the brains behind Kanye and Jay-Z’s N****s in Paris. One of our sources tells us … “Britney loves Simon, she likes Demi Lovato but her thing is music.”
Wait, if Britney was rumored to be on the chopping block for weeks now, why would she quit and save them the trouble of having to pay her severance? I mean, yes, Britney has more money than most of us could ever hope for, but still, I thought one of the small joys of getting fired was getting to take a chunk out of them on the way out.
