When your first big hit prominently features two lines containing the see-you-next-tuesday word (which we can’t actually say because … you know … page views, we like them), it probably stands to figure that you really aren’t uncomfortable getting a bit naughty. Unfortunately, despite the fact that most people are adults and can probably handle a few dirty words without spontaneously combusting, people will straight up ban you if you defy their delicate sensibilities, which is why Azealia Banks‘ cover for Dazed & Confused magazine is already banned in seven countries. British fashion magazine Dazed & Confused hasn’t yet released its September cover, which reportedly features rapper Azealia Banks blowing into a pink condom like a balloon, but it’s already been banned in seven countries, according to the magazine’s Twitter feed. “Thank God for the Internet, huh?” they wrote yesterday. Thank God for these bans, too, which have now increased our chances of picking up this issue by approximately 90 percent. No word on which anti-pink-condom countries have declined to let the magazine grace their shelves, but now we’re curious.
Wait, a condom? She was banned over a condom? Yes, how dare she glorify something that stops the spread of STDs and HIV. That monster? But in all seriousness, it’s a condom. Anyone who is sexually active should be using them at this point. Besides, if your kids ask you can always just tell them it’s a funny-shaped balloon. Which I guess technically it is, but don’t think about that too much.
