anyways you all know i am only slightly obsessed with hollywood - so when i got a preview copy of the HBO series unscripted that is to hit stores next week - i was thrilled - it was a small comedy series (created by george clooney and steven soderbergh) - 10 episodes in all - well worth your viewing time - it was one of these kinda infused reality & fiction shows - that took a look at three actors trying to make or break it here in hollywood - i loved this series when it was airing - very clever and quite funny - and really made me thank my lucky stars that i am NOT an aspiring actor here in hollywood - i prefer the pop sidelines - such an interesting business - and i think this show for captured some ups and downs of living 'the actor life' here in LA - and for some reason i just adore krista allen (who used to date mr. cutie clooney) - she just shines in this series along with acting vet frank langella who plays an acting coach - if you haven't seen this series - i highly urge you to check it out...popbytes out for now - just be happy we made it through monday! xxoo

ok so this is like one of those shows that maybe you never really watched but keep hearing people talk about - well finally i got on the boat and i started to watch last season - and although it does take some 'getting into' - it is brilliant stuff - so glad to be on board - larry david creator and star of curb your enthusiasm is so kinda ' neurotic - dry funny' and the situations he gets himself into turn out to be great TV as well as classic comedic snafus - really just random, wacky and oh so unpredictable - plus i love his wife on the show played by cheryl hines - she is a great match to larry's eccentric ways - so be sure to tune in tonight at 10pm on HBO (don't worry - i am still fuming over the cancellation of the comeback - but we do love larry david...) - gosh there is so much on tonight - get ready! anyways i will be back later...xxoo

ok so many people i know are so annoyed by the antics (rick, ivan...etc!) of entourage - but i absolutely adore it - and makes me so appreciate NOT attempting to be an actor in los angeles - i swear i would slit my wrists if i were to attempt to 'act' here - i so prefer to observe from the sidelines - it is fun to watch - actors are so a dime a dozen in LA (i swear i see about 5-10 people a day reading a script randomly) - and my feeling success is often being in the exact right place at the exact right time - sheer dumb luck (and some talent does help!) - and this half-hour comedy handles the ups & downs of the 'hollywood' life with superb wit & sarcasm - so tune into my beloved HBO to catch the 2nd season premiere of entourage - i may be hard up for TV these days - but i do love this show! much love as always! - popbytes out! xxoo!

oh woe is me - its a cold rainy day in LA - even the heavens are crying - SEX & THE CITY - ends tomorrow night! There will be a 1 hour countdown event before the final show - get your tissues ready - i dont how we will deal - except the saving grace of SIX FEET UNDER - and for any of you who never got into SIX FEET - trust me on this one - the best hour of TV - for sure - and now there is talk of a SEX movie - michael king is working the script as deals with all 4 ladies (all 4 better be there or screw it) - i have very mixed feelings on this - it could be great - but it could also be a huge letdown - everyone tread carefully here! dont fuck it up!

ok i finally watched sundays episode - and it changed everything! i dont know WHERE my freakin head was - BUT CARRIE MUST GO BACK TO NYC - and i think she DOES BELONG WITH MR. BIG!! ok as soon as she stepped out into paris - i knew it was a big mistake - and i didnt think so until that moment - ah paris - so romantic and elegant - yeah in yr dreams - she stuck out like a sore thumb - she is the ultimate NYC girl - and paris and her do not gel - she is way cooler - and so is NYC (and i do love LA - but alas i digress!) - and i kinda liked that alexander - but she is not good with him - he is not for her - and i know in her heart - she really loves big - and i hope he changed - so glad that charlotte heard his message - she is always been the hopeless romantic - and it was destiny! what will happen?? i cant believe i was fooled into thinking carrie could leave NYC and be happy with that annoying russian - he just doesnt get her - i really will miss this show - but i am feeling satisfied for now at least - one more to go - oh lord help us!! :)

ok i think i am in TV overload - the shows all come so fast i cant keep track! whats a girl to do? yes tivo helps - but there is just too much on - and we do need to sleep and work - but anyone who wants to pay me to watch tv for a living - i have no problem - would be tough - but i think i would be ok - tivo also helps to make you feel better - your rarely channel surfing and just catching the hot shows - so one can be all witty the next day at work - but recently i have felt overwhelmed - like tonight im tivoing JUDGING AMY (yes i do like that show - you would too - amy brennerman is great - and tyne daly - please what else is their too say??) and then SHIT i realize i just missed NEWLYWEDS and CARMEN & DAVE - i think i need like three tv/tivo combos - one of the roughest viewing nights is SUNDAY - there is too much on - and i dont like to tape to the plain ole VCR - since i usually end up not watching them - i swear they need to put some hot shit on sat - that is always such a droll night of viewing - except SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE - but thats late - so come on give us something good between key hours of say 8-11?? something - i swear all my life sat is for sure the lame night for TV - and news sucks on the weekend - i do love the news - but sat/sun news always seems so much lighter than the weekdays - who knows that could be some 'lets give them a rest from horrible stories on the weekends conspiracy' - ok im going off into crazy land! but you NEVER know!

okay as i breezed thru EW - FIONA APPLE'S third cd EXTRAORDINARY MACHINE is due - a dudes this chick so rocks - and i was present for her insane girl meltdown at the roseland ballroom (she did make up for it at an insanely incredible show at the beacon) - the meltdown was so perfect - the angst - it was amongst one omy best shows ever - only topped by the perfect HOLE (courtney love) show - and anyone who has never listened to fiona's second cd - WHEN THE PAWN... - go get it - this cd is hands down an incredible cd - go fiona!!

DAYS OF OUR LIVES i dont mention this much even though i am among the devout - about 12 years now - and kudos to whats going down in salem - 10 'key' players are being axed - including long time veterans and newcomers - and its been gripping with 5 deaths (abe, jack, maggie, caroline, and cassie) the storyline is involving all - and the acting is the best i have ever seen - all these people need is GOOD WRITING - and with their best ratings in 6 years - i hope head writer james reilly can keep the magic going even after the serial killer is exposed - and could it actually be 'marlena' - being impersonated by 'hattie' - deidre hall needs some substance! on the air since 1965 - i plan on watching this for years to come - something about the serial ongoing plot is warm and comfortable like an old pair of slippers!
