Hands down, one of my favorite releases without a doubt from this year is newcomer Clare Maguire‘s debut album Light After Dark, and to prove my point, here is Clare’s new music video for one of my favorite tracks, The Shield And The Sword. I think her voice is beyond fantastic and I adore her overall style, she is definitely someone we should be keeping a very close eye on.

When I first heard Mary J. Blige‘s new single, Someone To Love Me (Naked), it totally reminded me of vintage MJB – and then I discovered it’s off her upcoming tenth studio album called My Life II, The Journey Continues, which turns out to be a sequel of sorts to her triple platinum 1994 album, My Life! Now it all makes sense, I love that she’s back to her old school classic sound, My Life is one of the best albums of all-time, I hope this new one releasing in September can live up to its predecessor! Watch the brand new music video below, she could have done without guest stints from Diddy or Lil’ Wayne but both those guys aside, I love this song, she sounds simply amazing and looks super fierce!

I have been literally hearing tons of amazing buzz over British musician Natalia Kills over the past few months, but I just couldn’t really get into her for some reason until now, I’m loving her brand new and totally epic music video for Wonderland, the second single off her debut album, Perfectionist, which was released internationally (in Germany) today! Based on all the attention and love she’s been getting from my music blogger buddies, Natalia Kills is somebody to definitely keep your eyes on, and hopefully she will be getting a proper release here in the states!
Here’s the latest music video from Katy Perry for E.T., the fourth number one single off her sophomore album, Teenage Dream. For some reason she added Kanye West to the track, which I didn’t really find necessary but to each his/her own! For a long time I seriously couldn’t stand Ms. Perry but she has totally won me over with her latest album, it even made my top favorites of 2010 list, the title track is one of the best pop songs ever! I prefer the other singles over this one, but it’s decent enough! For Katy’s next single, I would suggest either Circle the Drain or Last Friday Night (T.G.I.F.).

As much as I tend to complain about the Black Eyed Peas, their songs are certainly catchy enough and I kind of like their latest single, Just Can’t Get Enough. Check out the new music video below which was shot in Japan just one week before the devastating natural disaster. My heart goes out to all the people who have been affected by this terrible tragedy.
