oh this just made my day! it's ms. whitney houston looking quite clean & sober at the 17th carousel of hope ball which took place last night in beverly hills! it's a semi-annual event that raises money for childhood diabetes - ms. houston was escorted by the ultra classy mr. clive davis who has been working with whitney since she was sixteen and now is leading her hopefully triumphant comeback! sometimes i have to ask myself 'did she really leave bobby?' and the answer is yes! i'm so thrilled that she appears to be back on track - y'all know she is one of my favorite people ever...so i've got all fingers crossed that we will soon see whitney back on top where she belongs! many special thanks to my pal kevon who helped me gather the images below! popbytes over & out for now...xxoo!

hey kids - i just got back from the beach near san diego - the water was so warm and i totally got my relax on which i so needed and yes...i did think of whitney today! plus i just had a ms. houston coincidence...i headed over to ralphs on sunset to pick up some groceries...the song playing as i walked in the door was whitney's i'm your baby tonight! i was like oh my gosh...even ralphs loves whitney today! even though i was a little tired from all the sun & surf - the tune perked me up giving my shopping an extra dollop of sass! i just wanted to run up to everyone and tell them about 'we love you whitney day' just to see the reaction...people would be like what...? i should have asked the manager to make a store-wide announcment - 'attention shoppers - today is...' of course i didn't harass anyone but i always enjoy thinking of crazy 'what if' scenarios!

hey everybody - gosh i'm so stoked it's friday night! i wanted to post this bit of whitney news during the week but i just didn't have time - so here goes! thanks to the always fab ms. natasha (hey girl!) over at young, black & fabulous it seems whitney houston was spotted recently at a west LA church and someone took some video of ms. houston in attendance - looks like her daughter bobbi christina is next to her in a black dress however i don't see hubby bobby brown! as britney spears vows her love for kfed...wouldn't it be a great unexpected pop treat to see whitney dump mr. brown's ass...feels like a longshot but there is always hope! (and love as per brit)

ah it's friday night! so what is popbytes up to at the moment...worrying about whitney houston AGAIN! this week the national enquirer is featuring a story that claims whitney has a brain tumor - yikes! her reps quickly denied the whole thing and are talking about the possibility of a lawsuit (funny how they didn't deny those cracked den photos...) - my pal tabloid whore covered the tumor rumor (that rhymes!) earlier this week...who knows what is really up with our gal whitney?
certainly not oprah winfrey! tonight ms. houston's name popped up again when ms. winfrey was interviewed (either on extra or access hollywood...those shows start to blend together for me) for her upcoming (much hawked) legends ball 2006 special airing on ABC this coming monday night - they asked O if whitney had been invited and she said yes...she invited her last year and this year but by the look on her face & overall vibe - she hadn't received an RSVP for either ball...then they said something about oprah knowing she is ok and oprah was quick to deny that she had any idea how whitney really was!
alas there was someone around claiming that whitney was going to be ok...aunty dionne warwick who thanked the reporter for asking...oh when will this trainwreck finally come to a halt? for now the same old tune of 'houston we have a problem' keeps itself in the replay mode - my biggest hope is that whitney will attend oprah's 2007 legends ball...a boy can dream can't he? she has a whole year of recovery to get ready! oh whitney we still love you no matter what - girl try to be strong & get better! popbytes over & out for now...xxoo!
oh my goodness - what a wild day it was! i still can't believe tomkittensuri has actually arrived - it all feels so fucking surreal! i can't wait to see pics of the baby - we need to check her eyes! my head was spinning in about a million different pop directions today and one of those pop tangents included the news that whitney houston is back in rehab (there was even a plot to kidnap her into rehab! my dear dear partner-in-crime ms. tabloid whore has the scoop on that) let's hope this time around rehab sticks! no more cracked girl - it's so over - put the pipe down!
