tammy faye – may you rest in peace

oh we knew this was coming but i still can’t believe she’s gone – tammy faye passed away yesterday at the age of 65 after a very long hard battle with cancer (she was quickly cremated and buried today) just the other night she got up the strength to appear one more time on larry king – it was her way of saying goodbye to her fans and also showing that you fight until the end – i so admired her amazing spirit & faith which she held onto until the very bitter end – she will not soon be forgotten – and finally she can have her hamburger & french fries she so desperately wanted to have but couldn’t – i know she’s up in heaven smiling down on all of us – i’m not a religious person by any means but for some reason i really took to her kind heart & beautiful spirit – we miss you already and love you dearly tammy faye – popbytes over & out for now – xxoo

don’t let fear rule your life, live one day at a time, and never be afraid

please pray for tammy faye!

UPDATE sadly tammy faye passed away on july 20th

oh my gosh – i love tammy faye and as you all know sadly she has been battling inoperable lung cancer for a very long time now – tonight she stops by larry king along with her husband roe messner – a small bit of the interview aired last night and i gasped when i saw how she looks these days – poor thing is in a lot of pain but the amazing part is her spirit & faith have not been broken – i swear it’s a total miracle she’s still alive! she recently posted a note on her website – below is an excerpt along w/ the shocking pictures of how she looks these days – it’s terribly sad but i just can’t help admire her unshakable faith – she is truly an inspiration for everyone! please say a prayer for tammy and tune in tonight to see her entire interview with mr. king (watch a clip) popbytes over & out for now – much love to all as always…xxoo

i try really hard to eat and keep the food down, but sometimes, it is like my throat would just shut down on me, and the food comes right back up. so through all the prayers, i have finally gained some weight. i have gone from 60 pounds, to 65, for which i am very thankful.

i ask in great humbleness that you pray that i will be able to eat without it coming back up. i crave hamburgers and french fries with lots of ketchup! when i can eat that again, it will be a day of victory!

in closing, i want you to know that i am praying for you and your loved ones and i am believing god for complete healing. god is a healer of everything!

i will let you know when i get to eat my hamburger! ha!

the doctors have stopped trying to treat the cancer and so now it’s up to god and my faith. and that’s enough! but please continue to pray for the pain and sick stomach.

my precious daughter, tammy sue, and her wonderful friends are staying with me while roe builds churches. they don’t want me falling down the stairs. i am down weight wise to 65 pounds, and look like a scarecrow. i need god’s miracle to swallow.

oh this just made my day so sad – tammy faye messner (age 64) returned to larry king live last night – she is in stage 4 of lung cancer that has spread to her colon and other parts of her body – she is one of my favorite people ever – she has been through so much drama in the past yet her soul & spirit keep shining very bright – it is amazing she has been able to survive for this long with cancer – especially lung cancer (and she too like dana reeve never smoked…) she is a such tough cookie! last year i had the chance to briefly meet her at OUTFEST and take my picture with her – she was so warm and very kind – i just adore her positive attitude and i am really praying for her during this time of terrible sickness but i know she will love to be back in god’s arms once again – you can send tammy a letter or card to: Box 1281, Matthews, NC 28105 – popbytes over & out – sending many good vibes and thoughts to our dear tammy…xxoo

“Few Americans have had lives as intense and publicized, or been as adored
and sometimes reviled, as Tammy Faye Messner.

Four years after THE EYES OF TAMMY FAYE, we catch up with Tammy Faye as she
fights the biggest battle of her tumultuous life against inoperable stage IV
colon cancer.

For more than six months, we follow Tammy Faye, the pop culture icon and
charismatic former wife of disgraced televangelist Jim Bakker, as she
undergoes a difficult regimen of chemotherapy, loses her trademark
eyelashes, and tries to heal herself using equal doses of alternative
therapy and prayer.

Though her type of cancer only has a 5-percent survival rate in the first
five years, Tammy’s health slowly improves. We watch as she shares her
journey with AIDS patients at a hospice near her home and then as she learns
to sing again, months after cancer ravaged her vocal chords. Finally, with
the cancer nearing remission, Tammy Faye begins preaching again, with a
whole new perspective on life and death.

Her story is inspirational and heart-warming, as she never loses her
characteristic positive and fearless attitude. A woman of intense
contradictions, unique style, mesmerizing personality, a singer of great joy
and one of the most public weepers in America, will again show the world how
she deals with adversity.”
