good evening y'all! thankfully los angeles is completely calm at the moment...today's little earthquake (5.4) totally freaked me out but it happened so damn quick (it was over before it even began) i just froze up at my desk while it was happening (my work building happens to be on rollers so everything kinda just swayed with the waves for about 15-20 seconds) i need to make sure i have all of my earthquake emergency supplies in order (simple things like some cash since all the ATMs would be out in the event of the big one the experts predict is coming...)
oh let's move onto happier things - i know everyone loves sesame street and it's hard to believe the childrens' show is kicking off its 39th season on august 11th (a highlight video is embedded below) this time around they have a new slew of celebrity guests including super hottie soccer stud david beckham - i love the picture of david and elmo below - how freakin' cute are they together?!? other celebs stopping by sesame street include: jack black, feist, neil patrick harris, heidi klum, jenny mccarthy, will arnett, ll cool j, chandra wilson, jessica alba, molly shannon, jonah hill, brian williams, gilbert godfrey, megan mullally, randy jackson, and sandra oh!

it looks like the beckhams are hitting our nation's capitol as wax figures - the waxy couple are on loan from madame tussauds and are being used as part of a 'kissing booth' at the cherry blossom soccer tournament - although who would really want to kiss wax figures?!? david beckham actually looks quite real (i'd say lose the large diamond earring) but victoria looks like a total mess - why is her head cocked in that odd fashion? and that blue scarf around her neck doesn't match her green dress at all! (i highly doubt 'posh' had final sign off) as for my sunday afternoon i just finished watching once on DVD (which took home the best original song oscar for falling slowly) i really enjoyed it - although i wish the ending was different! i do have a new crush on glen hansard - he was just so sweet & adorable plus he's really talented - along with markéta irglová! popbytes over & out for now...xxoo!

on wanting to change america's opinion of heri think people are really going to see me for the first time. i think they have this impression that i'm this miserable cow who doesn't smile. but i'm actually quite the opposite. when you're out there, they're trying to get pictures up your shirt, down your top. with all the flashes, it's as much as you can do to just find your car. i'm going to try and smile more for america.
on buying a 22-million dollar villa in beverly hills, californiai had quite a lot of things to get my head around. what was the nicest area? i was very much like, 'okay, the seaside is down there, training is there, school is there, and i think barneys is over there.' i kind of did it like that...we didn't want anything too huge, too fancy, too ostentatious...something quite practical for the kids. it's a light, happy house, with a great corridor the kids are going to love when they are roller-skating.
