Star can exclusively reveal that Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie, who are expecting twins this summer, tied the knot during an intimate wedding ceremony in the couple's adopted city of New Orleans, Louisiana on Saturday afternoon.
As Star has reported, Brad had long wanted the ceremony to take place in the city devastated by Hurricane Katrina, while Angelina preferred a small, intimate ceremony in France. Clearly Brad won out as the planned ceremony took place in the French Quarter Wedding Chapel. hey everyone - just a quick post before i go to bed - below there's angelina jolie & brad pitt (looking scruffy & adorable) walking the red carpet at the screen actors' guild awards which took place earlier this evening! a couple a days ago - word broke that she's pregnant again - this time with twins! there's been no denying the rumors from their publicists - plus the dress she rocked tonight (while glowing with pure beauty) totally looks like early maternity wear - she's 100% pregnant - there's no denying it based on the pictures below! they'll be increasing the jolie-pitt brood from four to six (didn't they say they wanted a total of nine kids or something like that?) i'm a huge fan of brangelina - angie & brad still seem so very happy and in love - i say good for them - and please no worries about jennifer aniston - she's fine and doing her own thing - i'm living proof you can for sure be on both teams jennifer & angelina - i hate choosing sides! good morning! last night was the los angeles premiere of beowulf which opens november 16th and stars angelina jolie, anthony hopkins, john malkovich, robin wright penn, and crispin glover - most of the stars were out on the red carpet in westwood including ms. jolie who brought along her boy brad pitt - gosh they still look so happy! she totally glows when she smiles - angie should smile more often! the film also looks visually stunning (a total must see for me) which was directed by robert zemeckis and he employs a similar style of animation that was used in the polar express which if you haven't seen - with the holidays just around the corner - now is the perfect time - it's one of my favorite holiday movies (and keep in mind i'm usually not a huge fan of holiday flicks at all) anyways don't you all hate how it is so much darker at night?!? plus it's getting cold here - that's why they're both wearing jackets - it must have been chilly on that red carpet! hey hey! what has everyone been up to? i ran a bunch of errands that took me all over town - from sherman oaks to culver city - tomorrow i may try to get down to the beach - i haven't been all summer! (shame on me) anyways thanks to popbytes australian pal drew for sending me a heads up about the brad pitt & angelina jolie (along with shiloh-nouvel) stamp from down under! just the other night new idea took to the honor of being named magazine of the year at the 10th annual magazine awards - the honor was presented in sydney by the magazine publishers of australia (MPA) - basically the highest award for any magazine in oz! to commemorate the award - a very limited edition stamp has been issued featuring their most famous cover from last year which is posted below - the left side is the official stamp and the magazine cover sits to the right - you can choose to use the cover on the envelope or save it! we do have some cool stamps every now & then here in the states (marilyn monroe & elvis presley) but they're not usually as timely as this brangelina stamp! popbytes over & out for now - xxoo!
good morning & happy friday! last week i got the chance to attend a screening of a mighty heart starring angelina jolie as real-life mariane pearl - the widow of slain reporter daniel pearl - the film is based on ms. pearl's penned account of her husband's kidnapping & subsequent murder in karachi, pakistan in a book also called 'a mighty heart' - i knew the film would be tense and upsetting - and of course it was but i did find myself on the edge of my seat the whole time even though i already knew how it ended! i can't exactly say run out and see this movie - if you wanted to see it then i'd say for sure go check it out but i know some people like to escape at the movies & forget reality - this is not that kind of film! (this is more a saturday afternoon type thing rather than a friday night date movie...)
director michael winterbottom did an amazing job at creating tension & suspense - it's a very well put together film plus the acting was superb - especially ms. jolie who is already garnering oscar buzz for her performance - i'll add fuel to that fire - she did an excellent job! once the film got going i completely forgot i was watching angelina - say what you want about her - she is truly a talented actress! the film also stars dan futterman as mr. pearl but the story really focuses on mariane's plight to find her husband in a foreign land filled with danger & deceit around every corner...
after seeing the film i'd actually love to read ms. pearl's book - such a strong willed woman who really held herself together in a time of crisis while also being pregnant - i couldn't imagine ever being in her situation nor would i want to see anyone else endure what she had too! i'll be interested to see how the film does numbers wise - it is being heavily advertised here - although i just can't see it pulling in large numbers - but we'll keep an eye around oscar nom time to see if ms. jolie could be up for another oscar (she already nabbed one for 'girl, interrupted') popbytes over & out for now...xxoo!

hey hey! so it looks like STAR magazine is keeping brad pitt busy - last week he was all concerned about jennifer aniston's new man...and now this week the magazine has him all worried about angelina jolie's weight! (who is supposedly weighing in at a mere 98lbs) i'm not feeling the latest cover - everyone knows i adore ms. jolie - i've said it before (i might as well have it written on my forehead) i like ms. aniston too! it's for sure possible to be a fan of both gals! it still amazes me what a polarizing figure she is amongst most women - i can barely find an in between...gals either love her - or despise her! (i have one pal who still calls her a 'husband stealer' - i'm like let's move on!)
the 'shocking' image of angelina below was taken when her & brad hit the red carpet at the ocean's 13 premiere in hollywood not too long ago - there are pics of her looking thin (here's a bunch over at souliejolie.com) but not like the one below! something about the photo just isn't sitting right with me - i carefully inspected it but i couldn't find anything major fixed but her inner arms and right elbow look off plus the size of her head isn't quite right either! there are bad angles for photographs but when i saw this tonight - i was like oh my word! (she did recently open up about her weight loss citing her mom's death) i say leave her alone - i know the magazine has to sell covers and all of 'team aniston' will be gleefully snapping up copies but it's all so wrong!
in other stories - we've got an inside look at kelly clarkson's meltdown - she's another person who people need to stop harping on - i've had a listen to her new album my december and it's quite decent - clive davis should have his old man ears checked! next to her is the scoop on brad's mom jane pitt and her recent visit to her ex-daughter in-law - she spent about two hours talking about who knows what - ah to be a fly on that wall - i'd love to know what they discussed!
lastly there's nicole richie - with a headline claiming she has taken 73,000 pills in just four years! that's a lot of pills for such a small girl! i did the math - that's like 18,250 pills a year - broken down to fifty pills a day! do vitamins count as pills? that must be it - ha! if she is all hopped on pills - she should slow it down - we still don't know if ms. richie is pregnant or not! popbytes over & out for tonight - xxoo!
good evening my pop friends! ok if i have to watch one more thing about anna nicole smith i think i may pass out! i don't trust anyone involved in the situation and oh my gosh i still keep finding myself shocked that she actually died - no more anna - it's so fucking sad & eerie! i know some people think i'm crazy but i really loved her so much - what a tragic figure! (you know i live for the messy ones) she was never really happy and the one thing that did seem to make her happy was taken away from her - man oh man - i can't bear it! (we seriously all need to know once and for all who the father of baby dannielynn is?!?)
here's a drop more info from STAR magazine's story on brangelina this week...even though there was recently a bunch of adoption rumors it sounds like right now it's a big no go (i think the couple should expand their brood but they can also give the family a little resting time before a 'brand new baby situation') and for as the animosity being constantly painted between angelina jolie & jennifer aniston is IMHO (in my humble opinion) completely imagined! i hope at some point we'll see something along the lines of thelma & louise from those two - that would be so hot! although ms. jolie has been a 'serious sally' lately with her article in the washington post - totally the reason why she and brad were absent at the oscars - she was busy burning the midnight oil - essay style! popbytes over & out for tonight...xxoo!
good evening! i'm still a little peeved that STAR magazine went after my darling angelina jolie's weight this week...the scan below is where they did the past vs. now comparison! the magazine claims ms. jolie has lost twelve pounds in time spanning...six years! come on...comparing a picture from back in '01 to an '07 picture is completely ridiculous! plus her outfits are totally different - right now i'm totally standing by my angelina - she's one of my favorite people ever! (yes popbytes is a broken record - i play for team aniston too) did anybody think that maybe her moody ways on the red carpet at the golden globes was due to the fact that her mother was near death's door?
that's one thing i always try to keep in mind with dealing with just about anybody...no one really knows what anyone is going through at any given time - i've had plenty of times while blogging that i've had to deal with a shit situation and never let on! i don't feel like going all deep here & now but sometimes i think to myself tara reid and/or jessica simpson...they're real people too - just like you and me! ok i went slightly deep...thank heavens i didn't bring paris hilton into the deep thought club tonight!
