oh no! more bad news concerning my favorite mess amy winehouse who was supposedly working on the new james bond theme song for the next installment of the franchise quantum of solace (with sexy daniel craig taking his second stab at playing the always debonair mr. bond) but cutie music producer whiz mark ronson (yes brother to lindsay lohan's BFF samantha ronson) has come out saying that amy isn't quite ready to make new music - which we can all tell just by looking at her (we did work on it but we never finished it. i don't think it will happen unless by some miracle it gets recorded and someone sings on it. i'm not sure amy is ready to work on music yet...) the whole situation is just unfortunate - her talent (and health) are wasting away - and she really is a perfect candidate to take on a bond theme song but sadly girlfriend really needs to get her shit together first!
let's hope she didn't burn her bridge completely yet with mr. ronson (pictured below (you'll notice by way of his tight pants that mark 'hangs' to the right) leaving a birthday bash for lily allen who just turned 23) who had a big part in putting together her award winning multi-platinum album back to black - she totally needs mark! no one seems to be getting through to her - who knows what will transpire with amy over the next few weeks...my fingers are crossed hoping she's already hit rock bottom and can only pull herself up from here on out...i know that's awfully wishful thinking on my part but i'm trying to stay positive - we can count her out just yet! popbytes over & out for now...xxoo
with a headline like that i could only be talking about my one & only amy winehouse - i promise to lay off her for a bit but whenever i see shocking pictures of her looking like a complete crackhead train wreck - i can't help but think that someone really needs to help her before she ends up dead! with the way she's going it won't be long - does amy not have anybody who can help to clean up her many issues? can't her family have her committed to obviously much needed treatment? she looks so far gone that i'm really worried that it might be too late...it's such a freakin' shame - she's so damn talented yet amy's crack demons have totally taken her over - i feel completely helpless when it comes to the situation - all i can do is keep posting about ms. winehouse here on popbytes and pray for her soul! yes - i know i can sometimes be over dramatic but amy is so fucked up and out of control...i can't bear the thought of having to write a RIP post about her...that would kill me (the pictures below are from tonight...yet another late night bender! amy was hanging out in camden at 'the good mixer' (a pub of course) on her way home she apparently stocked up on a bunch of disposable lighters (clutched in her hand) and was guided by 'friends' back to her place - all along the way she was acting bizarre & making crazy faces...oh amy! anyways i had a really long busy day...i got to hang out with my good pal ck who is in town from new york and we made it downtown to check out portishead's rehearsal - the band is gearing up for what promises to be a kick-ass performance at coachella this weekend! they were simply amazing tonight - lead singer beth gibbons' vocals are truly incredible - i had a total blast although i'm way tired right now! many thanks go out to mr. kurt who helped me gain access to the special gig and provided entry for a few lucky popbytes readers - i wish i could have given out tickets to everyone who entered my contest...i do hope to have more fun contests soon - so stay tuned! popbytes over & out for tonight (please say a little prayer for amy - i love her so much and just want to see her get better - xxoo)

hey kids...well this isn't a post on courtney love again - but it is about another one of my favorite ladies to write about...ms. amy winehouse (i could easily spin-off popbytes into the 'courtney & amy 4EVA' blog) gosh i'd love to have them in the same room together - that would be way interesting (well for me at least!) unfortunately ms. winehouse is still a mess - her hubby blake is still incarcerated - and her third album (the follow-up to grammy winning back to black) has been put on hold until she gets her shit together! i worry about the girl everyday - i know that sounds like a crazy fan but 'back to black' hit me like a ton of bricks and something about her just drives me nuts (she's like from not of this day & age - amy is hardcore legendary drama) i'll completely lose my mind if anything awful happens to her! she was spotted out looking a bit out of her mind as usual - with a locket containing a picture of her blake...can you imagine the day he gets out of jail? those two will probably (for sure) go on a binge like we've never seen - they should close the bars in london that night (although drinking too much is the least of their problems...) just today i was reading rumors that blakey was supposedly selling nudie pictures of his wife in prison to score heroin - although with the way she looks - i can't see those pictures being worth much in prison...unless they can somehow sell 'em to the tabloids? popbytes over & out for now...xxoo!
oh my goodness - something about this story is totally hysterical to me - i can't stop laughing about it! apparently amy winehouse has a brand new addiction - ironing! a source told showbiz spy that she has been ironing everything in sight! gosh i can just see her in my mind with her big ass beehive weave ironing like a total mad woman - that must be some sight! (take a look at the size of her hair below - it's ginmorous!) i've never been one to iron anything (wrinkles shminkles) but i guess if her new found obsessive compulsive domestic activity keeps her busy - then i say iron on girlfriend! (although sadly there's a new story about her doing a bunch of blow at a party plus she's delaying work on her third album - major bummer!) to top off amy's woes - she was just disinvited from an upcoming charity event in NYC (metropolitan museum of art's annual costume institute gala on may 5th) where ms. winehouse was going to perform! it sounds and looks like another stint in rehab is desperately needed - hopefully a longer stay than her first attempt! popbytes over & out for now...xxoo!

hey hey! the brit awards took place tonight over in london and my gal amy winehouse performed love is a losing game (along with valerie w/ cutie mark ronson - who walked off with the best british male award while the lovely kate nash took best brit female) amy still seems a little on the shaky side (she also kept pulling up her skirt...maybe she had to go to the bathroom - hopefully not to do drugs!) but at least she seems way better than a few weeks ago when she was caught smoking crack on videotape - probably the best thing that could have happened (her dad credits the tape for shocking some sense into her) let's hope that was her final rockbottom moment! does anybody know when her hubby blake fielder-civil is due to get out of jail? he has been there for awhile now - and of course ms. winehouse had to ask the crowd to make some noise for her incarcerated blake - she's such drama - i love it! i wonder when she'll start working on her follow-up to back to black (a tough album to top) will she still be able to rock the whole beehive look? she'll need to switch that up eventually...
so did anyone else watch american idol tonight? overall the girls were pretty weak - however i really liked ramiele malubay and syesha mercado - as for one girl who should go home tomorrow night - i nominate amy davis - i wasn't so into the guys last night but i think they actually did better than the girls - this is supposed to be the hottest season ever yet it's all starting off very lukewarm! popbytes over & out for tonight...xxoo!
oh my gosh - i'm thrilled that my amy winehouse walked off with five grammy awards tonight - but i'm super bummed she lost out for 'album of the year' to herbie hancock - ugh! i don't have anything against mr. hancock but amy totally deserved to win - back to black is one tight album - i still love it so much! thankfully she managed to perform via satellite from london - and she was awesome - totally clean & sober (the video is posted below) i was so glad to see her embracing her estranged mother janice when she won for 'song of the year' for her hit song rehab - i pray she's finally back on the right track - i can't wait until she kicks off another tour here in the states!
overall the grammys were fairly decent - by the end i was growing a little restless but there were a few great moments including when beyonce took the stage with tina turner - they both kicked some ass on 'proud mary'! for a full list of winners - head over to grammys.com!

oh man - my amy winehouse is up to no good again - it just kills me to see her make a mess of herself when she has the world at her fingertips - i swear her album back to black (her blonde hair needs to go back to black...) is quite possibly the best album to come out in the past decade (ok maybe i'm being way over dramatic - but seriously it's that good!) the UK paper the sun got hold of some recent video footage (shot early in morning on jna 18th) of ms. winehouse partying down hardcore (and oblivious to somebody's camera) in her east london home with a crack pipe plus apparently she was sniffing powdered ecstasy & cocaine - and then popped six valium pills to calm down - what a rollercoaster ride! (plus you know she also probably smoked tons of cigarettes - and was probably downing everything with a stiff drink!) if anybody is going to end up dead - it's going to be amy - knock on wood!
don't get me wrong i'm all for getting my party on (oh i've had my share of good times) but this is taking things way too far - it's beyond obvious the girl really needs help before she's found in a puddle of her own blood & vomit! who knows what will happen at the upcoming grammy awards on feb 10th - i'm hoping she'll make a triumphant comeback performance but by the looks of the pictures below (you can see a picture of amy & jailed hubby blake fielder-civil in the background) along with the harrowing tale of her recent fucked up drug binge - i highly doubt she'll even be there - i don't know what else to say about the sad situation - i can just pray and hope for the best - i can't even imagine writing a post about her dying - i would be beside myself :( popbytes over & out for tonight...xxoo
