hey hey! tonight i'm heading over to catch V V brown who's performing at an industry showcase here in hollywood (free drinks - woo hoo!) she's already made quite a splash overseas with her debut album travelling like the light - next month the album will finally be released here in the states! i was first introduced to her by my pal arjan who runs the highly respected music blog arjan writes - ms. brown will also be performing at his superfraiche pop night this coming friday! (i'll add in my thoughts later about the video ... but i will say he looks hot!) overall i think adam lambert did a nice job with his first video for his single for your entertainment - somebody said on twitter earlier - it's like a 2009 version of britney spears' video for i'm a slave 4 u - i can see what he meant! i do like this video a lot more than his racy performance the other night on the american music awards - i loved that adam was trying to push the envelope by being all sexed up and in your face - but the audio just didn't sound right and he was walking around too much - i wasn't impressed! it sucks ABC decided to pull the plug on his good morning america appearance - thankfully one network isn't afraid to take chance ... CBSbooked him for the early show - all this controversy is simply adding up to more publicity for mr. lambert! as far as his album is concerned - i think it's really strong - there's a number of excellent tracks but as a whole i think it could have been tighter ... it's a bit all over the place yet his new single whataya want from me (written by pink / max martin) is going to do very well ... it's one of my favorite tracks! popbytes over & out for now ... xoxo
oh i love me some janet jackson - and her new song make me is such a great (and much needed) throwback to janet's classic sound - fun and simple - plus it makes me want to dance! below is the video which just premiered tonight - she looks amazing! hey! i made it to jamaica safe & sound - yet i'm totally drained - i barely slept on the plane so soon i will have been awake for over like 36 hours!
