How hot does Chris Evans look on GQ?

Chris Evans looks VERY hot on the latest cover of GQ magazine (shot by Mario Testino), he’s such a cutie! Although I’m not too keen on seeing his upcoming action flick Captain America, maybe it will be good? I wasn’t all that into seeing X-Men: First Class, but I ended up loving it, maybe I’m more of a comic fan than I originally fancied myself? It certainly beat Super 8 which was totally lame and over hyped.

Chris Evans - GQ Magazine

As Captain America, Chris Evans transforms from a patriotic weakling to a Nazi-whupping weapon of mass destruction. Photographed by Mario Testino for the annual fall fashion preview, Evans looks the part of a superhero on the July issue of GQ: buff and handsome. Despite her best efforts, writer Edith Zimmerman was powerless against his superhuman charm, developing a “crush” on him during their debauched, flirt-filled, first-date-like adventure, in which she ended up leaving his house at five thirty in the morning!

Chris Evans on getting over his initial reluctance to take on the role of Captain America:
“I said no a bunch, and every time I said no, I woke up the next morning so happy and content. I kept saying no; they kept coming back. And eventually I was like, ‘You know what? This is your biggest fear—this is exactly what you have to do.’ ”

…on his character in Scott Pilgrim vs. the World:
“The character’s supposed to be this horrible actor and a douchebag, and I get the job and so many people were like, ‘You’re perfect, you’re gonna crush it!’ ” he continued with feigned anger. “I was like, So I got this role as an asshole actor, and you guys think I nailed it? That I’m a natural and that nobody in town can do it better?”

…on how seeing sunsets are the “happiest” times in his life:
“The point is that when I see a sunset or a waterfall or something, for a split second it’s so great, because for a little bit I’m out of my brain, and it’s got nothing to do with me. I’m not trying to figure it out, you know what I mean? And I wonder if I can somehow find a way to maintain that mind stillness.”

Cutie Nicholas Hoult does Bullett magazine!

Here’s super cutie English actor Nicholas Hoult‘s new photo spread in the latest issue of Bullett magazine. Many of you will remember Nicholas from starring opposite Hugh Grant in 2002′s About A Boy, but now he is all grown up (isn’t he just adorable?) and is starring as Hank McCoy/Beast in X-Men: First Class, which I saw last night and totally loved (except for January Jones, who was a total waste of space – and mirrors). Also if you haven’t seen fashion maven Tom Ford‘s directorial debut, 2009′s A Single Man, I would highly recommend seeing it (with tissues handy), Nicholas is great in it! There’s no doubt in my mind, he’s for sure someone to keep your eye on, Nicholas bound to be a huge actor!

Ryan Reynolds: Lookin’ hot for Details magazine!

I still don’t quite get how Scarlett Johansson was able to quit being married to Canadian hottie Ryan Reynolds, and is now shacking up with Sean Penn, what a dumbass! Don’t get me wrong, I really do think Sean is great guy and a terrific actor but you certainly can’t compare him to Ryan when it comes to looks! Here’s Ryan looking extra hot on the latest cover of Details magazine, he is so damn dreamy, someday Scarlett will be totally kicking herself over deciding to ditch the world’s sexiest man!

Ryan Reynolds - Details Magazine

Ryan Reynolds appears on the June/July cover of DETAILS magazine in a photo shoot with Matthias Vriens-McGrath that took place in Atlanta. Reynolds has risen from comedy cutup to rom-com heartthrob to megabudget action star on the back of his everyman appeal—by just being a guy.

“The Hollywood a**hole is becoming a bit of a dinosaur every day, thank God,” says Jason Bateman—Reynold’s co-star in the upcoming The Change-Up. “But it’s still not the norm to be as decent as Ryan is. Decent without being a boob. He’s the World’s Sexiest Man and all that sh*t, but he’s still a real guy, not a noodle.”

Sandra Bullock says her longtime friend and costar has a complexity beyond the friendly face that draws an audience in: “It makes you want to watch more of him to figure it out. As his friend, any dark secrets that I may or may not know are forever safe with me. Unless he doesn’t do something I want him to do, like babysitting. When that day comes, I’ll be sure to hold a press conference.” The rest of his success she credits to his comic timing, height and Canadian-ness. “He constantly talks of the healing powers of maple syrup. I don’t know if that’s a Canadian trait, but it’s always uncomfortable when it comes up.”

“I love Canada,” Reynolds says when told about Bullock’s view of his nationality. “It makes a nice hat for America. When America runs out of water, it’s the first place I’ll go. I gotta go home. I haven’t been there in a long, long time.”

On not settling on one genre of films:
“I’m not declaring nothing, man! I’m getting away with something I’d like to continue getting away with.”

Joking about his dark side:
“You want to see what I’m like when we turn the tape recorder off? I slit throats, that’s what I do. I only drink panda tears. Do not bring me water. Do not bring me filtered water. I want the tears of a newborn panda, and I will have them—because I’m Ryan Reynolds!”

On not sharing details of his divorce:
“I’ll say this: the media was not invited to my marriage, and they’re definitely not invited into the divorce.”

Alexander Skarsgård does GQ magazine!

Alexander Skarsgård - GQ Magazine

PHOTO | CARTER SMITH FOR GQ

With his totally convincing American accent and eyes deep as a glacial fjord, Alexander Skarsgård has won over fans of HBO’s True Blood (especially the female ones). Now the Swede is ready for the big screen with three major films opening soon—one of them being Straw Dogs, where he met his current flame, Kate Bosworth. Brett Martin catches up with Skarsgård while whale-watching off the coast of California and the actor opens up about filming love scenes with Anna Paquin, his time spent in the Swedish military, his relationship with his famous father, Stellan Skarsgård, and more.

…on love scenes with Anna Paquin:
“It’s really clear to Steve and to everybody else what the deal is—which is that Anna is like a sister to me… Those love scenes take quite a bit of acting, actually. A lot of acting.”

…on why he decided to join the Swedish military:
“It was my way of going off into the unknown,” he says. “I didn’t want to just be somebody’s son.”

…on LA versus his native country:
“You walk into the coffee shop, and the girl asks how your day is. When I first moved here, I loved that. I know it’s shallow and superficial and she doesn’t give a f*ck about my day, but I still like it,” he says. Sweden, by contrast, is more reserved. “It’s difficult to get to know a Swede. But once you do, you’re in,” he says. And there’s a stronger sense of boundaries. “You’re never going to see a television show The Skarsgårds.”

…on his famous father, actor Stellan Skarsgård:
“I don’t think I came to acting to compete with my father. But, you know, he wasn’t around as much as normal dads, and seeing his passion…Maybe it was a way to get his attention… I mean, if anything, we’re trying to take care of him. He’s over the hill.”

Stellan on Alex and his brothers:
“Of course I’m threatened,” he says of his sons. “They’re younger, they’re better-looking, and they’re all trying to kill me.” READ THE FULL ARTICLE

Britney Spears covers Harper’s Bazaar!

Britney Spears - Harper's Bazaar Magazine

Professionally, Britney Spears has a lot to feel good about: Her new album, Femme Fatale, is receiving the best reviews of her almost-20-year career. “I’ve worked so hard on this album, so it’s really refreshing,” she says.

On preparing for her upcoming tour:
“I love to dance, so it’s very exciting. The tour rehearsals have been going really well. I think it will be my best show yet.”

On how being a mom affected how she approaches her career:
“I think things through a little bit more, and I worry a lot. I’m more straightforward, and I speak up more than I did before. When I was younger, I wouldn’t speak up as much, but now that I’m a mom, things have changed.”

What don’t people know about you?
“I’m pretty normal, you know? Like I said, the type of day I love is just like everybody else’s. I’m like everybody else.” READ THE FULL INTERVIEW

Rosie Huntington-Whiteley tops Maxim’s 2011 Hot 100 list!

Every once in a while, we do throw a bone to the straight boys/lesbians who read this site (we love you all!) Anyway, Maxim’s Hot 100 list was just released, and for the most part, I’m not really sure who many of these women are, but apparently Maxim readers love ‘em. I’d post all 100, but that would be suicide, so instead, here’s the top ten, which is pretty much the only positions anyone really cares about.

#10 – Jennifer Lawrence
#9 – Cobie Smulders
#8 – Natalie Portman
#7 – Anne Hathaway
#6 – Bar Rafaeli
#5 – Mila Kunis
#4 – Cameron Diaz
#3 – Katy Perry
#2 – Olivia Munn
#1 – Rosie Huntington-Whiteley

Well, I guess Katy Perry is hot if you focus exclusively on her face and ignore her voice, but … Cameron Diaz? Really? OMG, why are you still here? Ugh. Anyway, a few of my girl crushes, including Alison Brie and Christina Hendricks made the list, albeit way too far from number one for my liking, while Paz De La Huerta and Lindsay Lohan somehow made it onto the list despite both of them being drunk gargoyles.

Which stars made the Time 100 list?

Time magazine has released their list of the 100 most influential people in the world, and of course, most of it is based on politicians, activists and heroes, but this is a gossip blog, so clearly we don’t care about any of them. Who are the celebrities that made the list?! Well, among others, Glee‘s Chris Colfer made the list (yay!), Justin Bieber is on there (boo!) and Gossip Girl‘s Blake Lively made it on there too somehow ( … yay? I guess?)

Many Hollywood notables made the coveted list this year, including Justin Bieber, Chris Colfer, Blake Lively, Oprah Winfrey, Amy Poehler, Facebook co-founder Mark Zuckerberg, Colin Firth, Mad Men creator Matthew Weiner, Prince William and Kate Middleton, Bruno Mars, Matt Damon, Mark Wahlberg and designer Tom Ford.

“From the minute I met Justin, I knew this kid possessed a certain confidence that only a star could have,” Usher told Time of his friend and pop protégé, Bieber. “What’s interesting and will keep the world watching is that at the same time he’s having this incredible success, he’s like any other kid living a normal life.”

Glee’s Dianna Agron spoke highly of her co-star, Colfer, telling the mag, “Chris, 20, lives by extreme truth, speaking out against the epidemic of bullying that he, too, faced in high school. The honesty that he infuses into his Glee character, Kurt, leaves you reeling.” SOURCE

So basically, if you’re keep track here, Chris Colfer made the list because he’s the biggest representation of gay youth in America today and is using his position to try and end bullying. Meanwhile, Justin Bieber made the list despite being a selfish little shit, all because he can convince a legion of stupid teenage girls to buy anything with his face on it *slow clap* way to go, Time. Although I’m still really not sure how Blake Lively made the list. Nice tits? Yeah, let’s just go with that.

Andy Samberg makes Wired magazine adorable!

This is seriously the cutest cover of Wired magazine ever … featuring funny man Andy Samberg, probably best known for being oh so hilarious on Saturday Night Live. He’s been on the show a couple of years now, I’m sure he’ll be leaving (hopefully later rather than sooner) to try and make a career for himself outside of SNL, he’s bound to be a huge success. They all try but I think Andy will be able to join the ranks of successful alums like Will Ferrell, Tina Fey and Amy Poehler. Andy totally needs his own sitcom, that would be super awesome, I think it would hard to find anyone disagreeable with that!

Darren Criss covers Billboard magazine!

So who else is excited for the return of Glee next week?! To tide you over until Tuesday evening (April 19th), here is talented super cutie Darren Criss (aka Blaine Anderson) gracing the latest cover of Billboard magazine. Isn’t he simply adorable?

Darren Criss - Billboard Magazine

Glee’s rising star, Darren Criss, graces the cover of the latest issue of Billboard – out on newsstands April 18th – as he promotes Glee: The Music presents The Warblers out on April 19th. In the issue, Criss talks about his fondness of Disney songs, YouTube fame, his future in music and of course about Glee.

Why he got into musical theater:
For me, it was Disney. I remember seeing people’s reaction to “Aladdin” and thinking, “Oh, man, I want to be a genie when I grow up!” Robin Williams is a pretty big character in San Francisco. I was like, “I want to do whatever that guy does. What does he do, Mom? He’s an actor? OK, I want to do that.”

About possibly releasing a solo album with Sony music:
We’re working on it—we’re really excited and it’s something I’ve been wanting to do for a long time. I’m so thrilled that it’s something that can happen because of Glee, and like the Warblers album I hope I can do it justice and make it something that people can really enjoy.

Getting prepared for the Glee tour:
A year ago, I was so psyched that my first show in L.A. was at the Troubadour. Talk about so much for baby steps. It’s like, “Wait—Staples Center, are you kidding me?” I was happy to drive around in a beat-up, crappy old van with my bandmates and just go to small clubs around the country.
