JOHN STAMOS GETS HIS HOLLYWOOD BLVD STAR

good morning! i knew something was up yesterday when two people in my office told me they spotted cutie john stamos (age 46) on hollywood blvd yesterday and it turns out he was getting his star (#2,393) along the infamous 'walk of fame' - which was probably in conjunction with him starring on broadway in a revival of bye bye birdie (one of the few musicals i don't know too well) although i find him totally adorable and super sexy - it still irks and shocks me that my beloved bea arthur still doesn't have her own star - and now that she passed away - there's a five-year waiting period before the honor can be bestowed posthumously - ugh! my pal michelle collins from best week ever and i are appalled at the situation - it's simply not fair! we seriously need to figure out how this travesty of injustice can be remedied - five years is way too long to wait when it comes to a legendary star of the stage and television like ms. arthur was! popbytes over & out for now ... xoxo

CAMERON DIAZ GETS HER HOLLYWOOD BLVD STAR!

good evening! actress cameron diaz was honored in hollywood today - she received the 2,386th star along hollywood blvd's walk of fame (her vanilla sky co-star tom cruise along with wife katie holmes were in attendance) i don't mind ms. diaz at all but in all honesty - i didn't really want to write a post about her (or her upcoming movie my sister's keeper which looks like a total drag) i'm simply using this latest star ceremony as another opportunity to vent about my beloved bea arthur still not having her own star! now that she recently passed away - girlfriend has to wait five years for a posthumous nomination - which is totally insane to me - ms. arthur was an award-winning star of stage and screen - who sincerely deserves the honor - unlike some people who already have their star like mary-kate and ashley olsen or ryan seacrest - shame on whoever makes these decisions! maybe they'll make an exception - five years seems like an awfully long time to wait to honor someone supremely talented like ms. arthur - who was true class act! popbytes over & out for now ... xoxo

GLENN CLOSE GETS HER HOLLYWOOD BLVD STAR!

good evening! oh my word - it was beyond difficult to get back into the swing of things today after a truly amazing & relaxing vacation down in maui (right now i'm trying to organize all the pictures...stay tuned) i was a bit tired at work (after getting in at 1am - i finally slept around 3am) but i picked up right where i left off - plus it was good to see all of my work friends! anyways right now i've got actress glenn close who received the 2,378th star earlier today on hollywood blvd's walk of fame - i was actually pretty shocked to find out she didn't already have one! after all ms. close is an award-winning actress/singer of stage & screen (working in the business for 30+ years) and has been in a ton of great films (jagged edge, fatal attraction, dangerous liasons, reversal of fortune, and paradise road - to name just a few!) and i'm totally enjoying her in the second season of damages which is like the best show on television right now - it's that good! speaking of TV...oh my word - can you believe the 8th season of american idol kicks off tomorrow night?!? i'm quite excited although i'm not sure how extra judge kara dioguardi will fit in (she is an amazing singer & songwriter - that's a plus) i just hope the chemistry isn't altered too much! popbytes over & out for tonight...xoxo

CATE BLANCHETT GETS HER HOLLYWOOD STAR!

good evening! today actress cate blanchett finally received a star on hollywood's walk of fame (#2,376) i'm super surprised she didn't already have one - she is an academy award winner after all for her work in the aviator (it still shocks me that mary-kate & ashley olsen have a star on hollywood blvd) when i left for work this morning i saw the set-up for the ceremony but i couldn't get down there to take my own pictures but the ones below are quite nice - she's gorgeous and so damn talented! (although i don't know about her choice of outfit today...) these things are always timed around a new release - she's starring alongside brad pitt in the curious case of benjamin button which i MUST go see - it looks amazing! popbytes over & out for now...xoxo

HOLLY HUNTER IS A HOLLYWOOD BLVD STAR!

good evening everybody! normally i get to catch most of the ceremonies along hollywood blvd when a new celebrity star is revealed but unfortunately this morning i missed one of my favorite actresses - ms. holly hunter being bestowed with the 2,363rd star along 'the walk of fame' - i was completely shocked to find out she didn't already have one - let's not forget ms. hunter is an academy award winner (for her amazing work in 1993's the piano) plus she's a two-time emmy winner! steven spielberg, kate capshaw, ed harris, and billie jean king were on hand today to help holly celebrate the honor! at age 50 she still looks way fabulous - ms. hunter has always been a little offbeat and kooky but that's what i love about her! i hope y'all are enjoying your friday night - right now i'm just chilling out which is exactly what i needed to do! popbytes over & out for now...xxoo

SEAN 'DIDDY' COMBS GETS HIS BLVD STAR

hey hey! here are a few pictures i just snapped of sean 'diddy' combs getting the 2,362nd star along hollywood blvd's infamous walk of fame (it was massively crowded down there and people were waving balloons and signs like crazy people - plus it's pretty hot outside so i didn't stay for long) he's actually the first male rap artist to be honored with a star - i'm not overly crazy about mr. combs but he doesn't really bother me either - gosh remember when he was with jennifer lopez (who could forget that sexy green versace dress she wore to the grammys back in 2000 while on his arm) it seems like ages ago - oh my word time totally flies - in fact it's already time for me to eat some lunch! popbytes over & out for now...xxoo

ANGELA BASSETT GETS A HOLLYWOOD BLVD STAR!

hey hey! check out a few pictures i just snapped moments ago of actress angela bassett getting the 2,358th star along hollywood blvd's walk of fame! i love ms. bassett - especially in her golden globe winning and oscar nominated performance as legendary tina turner in what's love got to do with it? on hand to help ms. bassett celebrate today were laurence fishburne, forest whitaker and rick fox (who stars in the new movie meet the browns along w/ ms. bassett) she was glowing - and so beautiful in person - forest's speech was so touching it had angela in tears - he's an excellent speaker (then mr. fox had to speak and it paled in comparison...) enjoy the pics below! popbytes over & out for now...xxoo!

THE REMAINING MUNCHKINS GET THEIR STAR!

hey hey! oh my gosh - this is the sweetest thing i have seen all day - seven of the remaining munchkins from the 1939 classic & much beloved film the wizard of oz were honored with a star along hollywood blvd's 'walk of fame' - they were escorted in on a carriage being drawn by 'a horse of a different color'! (only 9 out of 124 are still alive today) of course they are all quite old as you can tell by the pics i snapped posted below - yet it's so great they were able to get out and be honored by hollywood today - they must have felt special and deservedly so! (plus they got the star in front of grauman's chinese theatre where the movie originally premiered 68 years ago!) of course 'the wizard of oz' is one of my favorite movies of all-time - they certainly don't make movies like that anymore! PS i just got back home for lunch and as i was waiting on the corner of hollywood & highland to cross the street - i looked over and there was debra messing and her hubby daniel zelman - she looked great - it just caught me off guard since out of a fairly big crowd of people waiting - i seemed to be the only one to notice her - i guess she was there for the festivities! (actually it turns out she was there for a huge writers' strike march - which i'll be posting pictures of later - there's a lot of people down there right now!)

RICKY MARTIN GETS HIS HOLLYWOOD BLVD STAR!

hey hey! check out these pics i just snapped of hottie ricky martin getting the 2,351st star along hollywood's infamous 'walk of fame'! he received the honor because of his lengthy recording career - the honorary mayor of hollywood johnny grant mentioned today that mr. martin has sold 55 million records worldwide! plus he has also been involved in a lot of charity work - forming the ricky martin foundation which helps to be an advocate for impoverished & abused children - he was joined today by legendary actress rita moreno and los angeles mayor antonio villaraigosa - and i must say ricky still looks adorable as ever (he'll turn 36 in december!) enjoy the pictures below - popbytes over & out for now...xxoo!

007 ROGER MOORE GETS HIS BLVD STAR!

hey hey! i just snapped a few pictures of legendary 'bond' man sir roger moore getting the 2,350th star along hollywood blvd's walk of fame - just three days before his 80th birthday! yes he's looking old but not bad for being eighty! he starred in seven james bond flicks between 1973 & 1985 - and although some won't agree with me - he is actually my favorite out of all the other 'bond' men - i love his campy turns as agent 007 in films such as a view to a kill, octupussy and moonraker! at today's ceremony he was joined by his wife kiki tholstrup - and famous friends ruta lee & stefanie powers - he's another example of someone who should have had their star on the blvd long before the olsen twins, britney spears, or ryan seacrest! popbytes over & out for now...xxoo!

MATT DAMON GETS HIS WALK OF FAME STAR!

hey hey! i snapped some pictures just a few minutes ago of matt damon getting the 2343rd star along hollywood blvd's walk of fame! (not that long ago he was cemented w/ the ocean's 13 boys at the grauman's chinese theater) normally i like to run down there and snap closer pics but it's quite hot outside plus i don't mind mr. damon but i wouldn't exactly call myself a fan either - he's just ok - i could take him or leave him! this of course is all tied into the release of the third 'jason bourne' flick the bourne ultimatum which lands in theaters on august 3rd! so enjoy my 'aerial' shots which didn't turn out too bad considering i was up a couple of flights and were snapping 'em through a window! hey kids! i just snapped the pictures below of television icon & legend barbara walters (and one of popbytes' favorite ladies) getting the 2,340th star on hollywood's walk of fame! (let me tell you it was hot as hell down there) i saw two of her 'view' ladies - joy behar & elisabeth 'annoying' hasselbeck (rosie o'donnell was nowhere to be found...) but the big sighting was paris hilton's mom kathy hilton & her sister nicky hilton (pictured at the bottom - are they all best of friends now since ms. walters spoke to paris in jail via a collect phone call?!? will we see paris on 'the view'? will she give an exclusive interview to barbara? so many questions!) i guess today there are no visiting hours at the jail! hey y'all - i just snapped a few pictures of academy award winning actor forest whitaker getting his star (#2,335) today on the hollywood blvd walk of fame! it was a gorgeous & sunny day for the ceremony and his pals kiefer sutherland & angela bassett also stopped by to say a few words about mr. whitaker - this latest star unveiling event coincides with tomorrow's release of the last king of scotland on DVD - the film where his performance as ugandan dictator idi amin garnered him the best actor honor at this year's oscars) (i must see the film - i've heard only great things about it!) popbytes over & out for now...xxoo!

hey hey! a little while ago ms. halle berry received the 2,333rd star on hollywood blvd's walk of fame (of course in conjunction with her new film perfect stranger) oh it was hot as hell out there and i got sick of waiting around in a sweaty crowd but my pal brent and i were able to snap some great pictures of the always stylish & gorgeous ms. berry - her hunky boyfriend gabriel aubry was also there - and i did spot samuel l. jackson! i'm sure there were more celebs in attendance but it was one of the most crowded star ceremonies i've ever seen and gosh i do have a day job to attend to! popbytes over & out for now...xxoo!

hey kids! yes ms. warren beatty - aka annette bening just got her star moments ago on the hollywood walk of fame! of course warren was by her side and annette even got a nice prime spot on the blvd - right by grauman's chinese theater! i think she seems like such a class act (i could be wrong - i've heard she can be a diva too) but she's certainly a fine actress! kudos to these two for sticking together (they were married in 1992) who thought it would have lasted this long? especially with ladies man mr. beatty! popbytes over & out for now - xxoo!

ok commentary coming soon...but bruce willis just got his star on the hollywood walk of fame and lots of celebs in attendance...ok gosh it's been such a busy day but i snapped pics below myself...can you spot demi moore, ashton kucher, ben affleck, billy bob thornton, sylvester stallone, don johnson, kevin costner - i'm sure there was more but those are the main ones i spotted! this was one of the biggest turnouts i've seen for someone getting their star on the blvd! the thing that shocks me the most is - don't you think mr. willis would have already gotten his star by now? i mean if ryan seacrest and the olsen twins beat bruce to a star - then something is seriously up! popbytes over & out for now - xxoo!

NANCY SINATRA GETS HER STAR ON!

oh i love nancy sinatra! she got her star on the hollywood 'walk o' fame' today and i just came back from snapping some fun pictures to share with you all! she seemed to be in great spirits and was all 'peaced' out! i totally adore all of her music! i was so lucky to have seen her in concert a few years back at the limelight in NYC - oh what a fun show - even lee hazelwood was there to sing those famous duets with her - i love ladybird, sugartown & jackson - some of her songs are pure camp classic including that famous one about some boots that were made for walkin'...which is what i'm about to do when i head home for lunch even though i'm not wearing boots - i will be walking! popbytes over & out for now...xxoo! oh and please watch the new little promo for ms. nancy i dug up below!
