… you’re seriously scaring me in these pictures snapped of you heading to john galliano‘s fashion show in paris, france! i do appreciate beth ditto‘s (lead singer of gossip) eccentric sense of style but this outfit is testing the boundaries of taste without a doubt – she’s looking a cross between casper the friendly ghost and lady gaga – large marge style! (bad) fashion choices aside – she’s an excellent singer – her band’s last album music for men did land a spot in my top picks of 2009! i still have to see her play live – i’ve got ‘em on my concert wish list! popbytes over & out for tonight … xoxo

who else wants to see ‘the runaways’?

i’m totally stoked to see the runaways – the new film based on the true tale of 1970′s los angeles rock band the runaways – starring dakota fanning as cherie currie and kristen stewart as joan jett (both actresses look eerily like their real-life counterparts!) the movie doesn’t open until next friday (march 19th) but i’m going to a press screening one week from tonight – i’ll definitely let you guys know what i think (at least i know the soundtrack is going to rock … i freakin’ love cherry bomb!) in the meantime check out the ‘official’ trailer below! popbytes over & out for now … xoxo

if you have one night only … (and you’re in LA!)

hey hey! last week i had the opportunity to see dreamgirls live on stage – down at the ahmanson theatre – i cannot recommend the show enough – i was literally blown away – the production was excellent and the cast was amazing! (‘deena jones’ is played by american idol alum syesha mercado – she rocked along with moya angela who plays ‘effie’) i had been dying to see the show (it first opened on broadway in 1981) it totally surpassed my expectations – i actually liked it better than the 2006 film version (starring beyoncé and oscar-winner jennifer hudson) plus since it was opening night – there were loads of celebs in the audience – i spotted legend betty white – and angela bassett (who looked amazing) had to step over me to get to her seat – i was in heaven! if you happen to be in los angeles you cannot pass up the chance to see this show – it’s playing through april 4th – so you have plenty of time to get your ass downtown! popbytes over & out for now … xoxo

i do think brazilian model jesus luz is pretty damn sexy but i’m getting sick of looking at that unsightly curly mop on the top of his head (check him out below playing DJ in lisbon) it’s totally time for madonna to send her boy toy to the barbershop! although madge might actually be over him … she was spotted out with another younger man this past weekend while partying here in los angeles! i guess she’s keeping all of her options open – smart lady! popbytes over & out for now … xoxo
