good morning y’all! today i wanted to highlight an emerging artist i first wrote about back in october of 2008 – janelle monáe (@janellemonae) i was in love with her song many moons off her EP release metropolis: the chase suite – now she’s ready to release her full debut album the archandroid on may 18th – two brand new tracks are circulating on the web right now – the first cold war which you can listen to below and tightrope featuring big boi (of outkast fame) which is playing on ms. monáe’s website! both tracks are excellent – leading me to believe this could be one of the hottest album releases this year! plus she’s touring – and will be swinging by los angeles on march 23rd & 24th at the viper room – i will definitely be at one of those shows! popbytes over & out for now … xoxo
