hey kids! did anyone else catch the 5th season premiere of
the hills last night? it's been a guilty pleasure of mine for a few years now but i was worried about the loss of main character & narrator
lauren 'LC' conrad - and everything i was fretting over turned out to be true - i don't think i can deal with the show much longer - it felt
really awkward without LC at the helm!
as for the new girl in town
kristin cavallari - who now narrates the show - i didn't care for her on
laguna beach and she totally rubbed me (and
audrina patridge) the wrong way during last night's episode! we all know the show isn't really based in reality at all but i kind of went along with it until now - every conversation last night seemed so scripted - i didn't believe anything -
especially the initial fight scene which set-up (lame) tensions between audrina and kristin over that scuzzy character
justin bobby (i used to think he was super sexy but he looked like crap during the premiere)
i totally forgive LC for wanting to move on (she's pictured below leaving
lauren 'lo' bosworth's birthday party last night) i would have done the same thing (just today it was announced
her book L.A. candy is being turned into a movie - good for her!) but LC's departure has definitely put a huge nail in the show's coffin - i'll be surprised if MTV squeezes out another season! (however you know they'll probably try) after the show ended i did stick around for
the city which i was never a huge fan of but i actually enjoyed that fakery way more than all the faux drama on
the hills! of course i'll keep watching since i'm a glutton for punishment - i can't keep my eyes off a train wreck - i must see how
the hills comes to a very necessary end! (the best ending would be for
heidi montag &
spencer pratt to get
permanently lost ... i'm so over those two idiots!) popbytes over & out for now ... xoxo
PS if
MTV is really paying
audrina $100K per episode and kristin $90k per episode - then that network is literally throwing money out the window - what a freakin' waste! yet they're kind of known for that - trust me i know - i used to work there back in NYC!
