hey everyone! so rihanna was in court this afternoon to deal with the whole mess her ex-boyfriend chris brown started up a few months ago after putting his hands on her (causing the now infamous picture of rihanna all bruised up) however there will not be a trial … mr. brown pleaded guilty and took a plea bargain which consists of five years supervised probation, half a year of community service plus he can’t go within 50 yards of his ex-girlfriend (if they happen to be at an industry event together – the distance is reduced to 10 yards) the only time ms. fenty had to speak was when the judge asked her if she understood the terms of the restraining order (including the fact she shouldn’t go near him) to which she replied yes, your honor – she must be totally thrilled to finally put this whole incident behind her and i do think justice was served (i don’t think anyone expected him to spend time in jail)
i simply adore rihanna’s classy appearance captured by photographers and a courtroom sketch artist (the pearl necklace was a perfect accessory – the best revenge is looking fierce) chris must be kicking himself over what happened … he seriously lost out on a super talented and gorgeous girl! now let’s see if he can somehow manage to piece his good guy image back together – it won’t be easy yet i can’t seem being an outcast forever … i’m sure at some point he’ll try to put out some new music – will anyone want to listen to it? that’s the burning question! to read more about what happened in court today – head over to popsquire for all the legalese! popbytes over & out for tonight … xoxo
