good morning! last week i was at the roxy to see patrick wolf (join him on myspace) an adorable english singer/songwriter – who just released his fourth album the bachelor – to be honest i really didn’t know all that much about him – but apparently he has been steadily gathering a loyal following – he just won arjan writes‘ best international crossover award – and i can see why – he was incredible live and since then i’ve been listening to the (electro-charged – romantically tortured) album and i’ve been totally enjoying it (i love the spoken vocals actress tilda swinton added to the mix) below is a remix (courtesy of alec empire) for patrick’s kick-ass track hard times along with the recently released neon-filled video! (plus here’s a bit of video i shot while at the roxy) for some reason he reminds me a drop of björk mixed with hints of robert smith and david bowie – mr. wolf is quite an interesting character – someone to definitely keep our eyes on! popbytes over & out for now … xoxo
