good evening y’all! i was seriously dreading going back to work this morning but somehow i managed to get through today and thankfully i have off on friday – so at least it’s short week! anyways right now i’ve got mariah carey who was in NYC today shooting a video at the plaza hotel for her new single obsessed (directed by brett ratner) off her upcoming album memoirs of an imperfect angel (the cover is below – it hits stores on august 25th) i really wish ms. carey had been at the BET awards last night – it would have been awesome for her to sing i’ll be there … instead of super lame host jamie foxx who did nothing but annoy the hell out of me the whole evening – i thought the entire show was pretty terrible (producers obviously didn’t have a lot of time to put together a proper tribute) the highlight was definitely seeing janet jackson issue a brief statement on behalf of the entire jackson family (the low point was seeing creepy dad joe jackson being all shifty mccoy on the red carpet) i’m sure there will be another tribute to michael jackson – and ms. carey better be involved somehow – i simply love her version of that song! popbytes over & out for now … xoxo


PS the 2nd row of pics below feature mariah carey dressed up as a man (probably something she shouldn’t do too often – she makes a way better woman) we already know she’s talking about rapper eminem in her new song … i guess she’s bringing him along for the video – i can’t wait to see it!
