AMY WINEHOUSE'S MESSY ST. LUCIA GIG

good evening! i hate to say this but i'm seriously about to toss in the towel and give up on hoping & praying amy winehouse will finally get her shit together - it's been ages since we've heard any new music from her - there's still no end in sight when it comes to her messy drinking / drugging antics! she's been down in st. lucia supposedly to work on the follow-up album to back to black which garnered tons of awards & accolades along with plenty of admiration from yours truly - it's still an incredible piece of work (easily one of my top favorite albums of all-time) but sadly i think it's probably her magnum opus - everything has been pointing in a downhill direction for quite a long time now - just a few days ago ms. winehouse showed up for a gig at the st. lucia jazz festival late after drinking for a rumored six hours and could barely remember the lyrics to her songs and was eventually booed off the stage! (here's a video of her disastrous performance) it's all such a shame - i can't believe she's just tossing her career out the window but girlfriend is still obviously an addict - until she addresses / deals with those issues (for real this time) i highly doubt anything is going to change - it's sad but oh so true! of course though in the end - there's no way i can give up hope when it comes to amy - however she's definitely testing my patience! popbytes over & out for tonight ... xoxo

PS a spokesperson for ms. winehouse said it's the first time amy has sung those songs for a long time. they brought back all her memories of her (soon to be ex-hubby) blake. - that's the funniest thing i've heard all day long - talk about spinning a pile of crap - what a pathetic excuse!
