i’m off to see prince!

UPDATE! hey hey! i just got home – and prince put on a stellar show tonight (i still hate nokia live but whatever – that venue sucks ass along with their crappy margaritas on tap) i was jumping for joy when he played some of his classics (1999, let’s go crazy, purple rain, if i was your girlfriend, controversy, i feel for you) the crowd was going totally insane – everyone ate up every second of it! watching him play guitar is truly an amazing (almost religious) experience – he told the crowd a friend told me i do music, and i told him no … i am music – and that’s the truth! at the end legendary drummer sheila e. joined him on stage for glamorous life which i fucking LOVE – that was such a highlight and special treat! my only regret is not getting tickets to his other two shows tonight (one at the conga room, and one at club nokia) i would have loved to seen more! popbytes over & out for tonight … xoxo


good evening y’all! i’ve got my skinny purple jeans on and i am so ready to party down at one of three prince concerts tonight! luckily i was able to secure myself a 14th row orchestra seat to the first show at nokia live – i simply cannot wait – i’ve been listening to prince since like 1984 (when i was just 8-years old – time sure does fly) and i’ve never seen him live before – he’s such a legend & a musical genius – i’m beyond thrilled to finally see him tonight! although i would kill for him to play some old tracks (like raspberry beret … one of my top songs of all-time – the video is embedded below) i’m assuming most of the songs will be off his brand new albums LOtUSFLOW3R and MPLSoUND (he’s also releasing elixer by bria valente – his protegée … all three go on sale tomorrow exclusively at target for one low price – $11.98!) hopefully i’ll get decent cell reception downtown so i can twitter away from the show! i shouldn’t be home too late (his 2nd concert starts at 9:30pm) so i’ll update this post with some thoughts on the show when i get back! popbytes over & out for now … xoxo
