Amy Winehouse just scored the biggest come back performance of her post … successful career! Psyche! The singer was in Dubai for Gulf Bike Week for her first public performance in ages, and though scheduled to perform nine songs, only got to six, losing much of the audience after only three, yes you read that right, three songs. No surprise though, reports claim the singer was picking her nails between songs, was “tipsy and incoherent” and even mumbled the lyrics to her songs. Apparently at some point a back up dancer took the microphone and told her to be quiet, and the crowd cheered. Ummm, what’s wrong with this picture? I understand being disappointed over sub par singing, but, it’s AMY-FUCKING-WINEHOUSE. Yeah at this point she could be more aptly hailed as Amy Whinehouse but the woman’s a friggin’ legend in some of the best crack selling alleyways of London! And what happened to the elbow swinging firecat of yesteryear? If my back up dancer took the microphone from me and told me to be quiet I’d knock his lights out, or at least I’d try reaaally hard.
