† FROM DJ PAUL V. This week's mashup is so smooth and spectacular, it glistens. It has everything to do with one of my favorite new singers, Sam Sparro. The handsome ex-Aussie - and now Angeleno - dropped, hands-down, one of the most sublime and gorgeous (and totally underrated) songs of last year. His 'Black & Gold' single was pure atmosphere, emotion, and electronic-soul wrapped around his velvet voice (so yeah, go find the original, too). As the music here, it's the centerpiece, but it's the also-beloved Blondie 'Call Me' vocal, transformed from downtown disco into blissful beauty here, that sparkles. Popbytes fave, LA's own DJ Shyboy, mined this gem that's ready to hover inside your head and hips.
