good evening! i just walked in the door – i was down at the zune party/work space here in los angeles to celebrate the recent launch of MSN‘s new gossip site wonderwall which is chock full of eye-catching celebrity photos & news – helmed by cutie alex blagg who you might know from his hilarious stint over at best week ever! i met a few cool people (hello to karen & jennifer) and the drinks & appetizers were delicious – i’m very glad i went plus a little networking never hurts!
right now i’ve legendary actress jane russell – who to be completely honest i thought was dead (that’s terrible to say yet it’s the truth) but alas she’s still alive & kicking at the ripe age 87! she’s probably best remembered for her role opposite marilyn monroe in the 1953 movie gentleman prefer blondes – and she did a ton of other movies – you can read all about her on wikipedia (gosh i love that site) ms. russell made an appearance on the red carpet last night at the 17th annual movieguide faith and values awards (i adore jane but just from the name of the awards alone – you wouldn’t catch me dead there) for being 87 – she looks pretty damn good (although her outfit is questionable) below is a pin-up picture of her from the ’50s – oh my word she was a such a classic beauty – old-time hollywood actresses totally rock … they certainly don’t make movie stars like they used to! popbytes over & out for tonight … xoxo
PS two readers commented about jane russell‘s funky toe on her left foot (which you can see here) i’d say she should have worn different shoes but maybe she can’t … getting old sucks :(
