hey! today the good folks over at spinner premiered the latest video from swedish pop sensation robyn for her super hot dance/electro cover of cobrastyle (check out cobrastyle - teddybears style from '04) robyn's version is quite different from the original but it's just as good - if not better! good evening! below i've got a pregnant & glowing melanie chisholm performing earlier tonight at the hard rock cafe over in manchester, england - to help aid the caron keating foundation (which helps cancer charities) i've always loved mel c. - ever since her days as sporty spice - i was thrilled to get the chance to see the spice girls reunite in concert not once but twice last year - both shows were such a blast - i danced my ass off! plus mel has done some incredible solo work over the years (her debut album from 2000 northern star is a must have if you don't own it already) and thankfully she's already working on her 5th studio album - she's one busy expectant mum! i'm so happy for mel and her partner of six years thomas starr - i wish the couple all the luck in the world (she's due early next year) plus 'sporty' can totally hit up any of her 'spice sisters' for mommy advice (or hand me downs) they all have kids too! popbytes over & out for now...xoxo

hey hey! it was just announced that britney spears will be partaking in 90 minute documentary tentatively called for the record - scheduled to air over on MTV on november 30th - just two days before her 27th birthday and the release of her highly anticipated new comeback album circus (december 2nd) i've been obsessing over her new single womanizer (tomorrow night on 20/20 the video will debut) and i'm extra excited to hear the rest of the album! watch a preview of the documentary below - although i do sometimes miss britney being all crazy & messy - i'm so glad that she finally got her head screwed back on straight! (now if only amy winehouse could manage to do the same thing...) popbytes over & out for now...xoxo

"So much has gone on over the last couple of years and there's a lot that people don't know about me that I want them to know," Spears told MTV News in a statement about the special. "I wanted to make this film because I started to feel like I wasn't being seen in the light that I wanted to be seen in. This is an opportunity to set the record straight and talk about what I've been through and where I'm headed."

The documentary combines personal stories with behind-the-scenes footage of her comeback. Cameras follow her to the recording studio, to rehearsals, to press tours, to the video shoot for her latest single, "Womanizer," and even to her hometown in Louisiana. Backstage footage from her recent triumphant appearance at the Video Music Awards is also featured. SOURCE

The ladies are in the house this week: one's a legend of new wave and punk rock, the other is practically British royalty (even though she's an Aussie through and through). It's probably fair to say that Debbie Harry & Blondie inspired a teen Kylie Minogue when 'Call Me' was accompanying Richard Gere hawking his studhood in 'American Gigolo.' For sure, Giorgio Moroder (its original producer) can be heard in some of Kylie's most recent electro-dance tracks. Mixer Mad Mix Mustang handles the introductions.
