LILY ALLEN: ALL GLAMMED OUT & LIQUORED UP!

hey kids! oh that ragamuffin lily allen does clean up quite well (when she wants to) although it's a bit of a stretch you could almost call her a modern day 'eliza doolittle' (from recent street fighting - to ruling the red carpet...she can do it all) ms. allen attended GQ's man of the year awards held over in london this evening and i must say she looks super fabulous (if only her british 'sister in musical spirit' amy winehouse could do the same but right now ms. winehouse is so far away from being glamorous at all...sad but true) i'm dying to hear ms. allen's new album - the follow-up to her incredible debut album alright, still that hit me like a ton of bricks about two years ago after my pal victoria recommended i give her a listen - although sadly there's no firm release date for when her sophomore album will hit the streets - i do hope all of those details get resolved soon - from what i've heard off her myspace page - i think she's going to nail this one on the head! popbytes over & out for tonight...xxoo

UPDATE! omg - i just read this...the night did not go off without a hitch! apparently ms. allen got into a minor verbal spat on stage with sir elton john (after getting all boozed up) while presenting an award...read on courtesy of UK's daily mail (kudos to elton for his snappy comeback to lily's comments...)

The combined star power of Lily Allen and Elton John presenting the GQ Men of the Year Awards must have looked like a dream ticket on paper. But the two stars didn't exactly see eye-to-eye at last night's star-studded event at the Royal Opera House in Covent Garden. As the evening wore on, Lily's state gradually deteriorated as she continually sipped champagne on stage.

The 23-year-old, decked out in an extravagant ball gown, soon began slurring, swearing and ad-libbing - and it was only a matter of time before she had an all-too-public fall-out on stage with co-host Elton. When she came to announce '...and now the most important part of the night', Elton chipped in 'What? Are you going to have another drink?'

She fired back: 'F*** off Elton. I am 40 years younger than you and have my whole life ahead of me!' The shocked audience fell silent. A clearly rattled Elton replied 'I could still snort you under the table'. To which she replied: 'F*** off. I don't know what you are talking about.' READ MORE
