good morning! i was so excited last week when on a whim i was searching to see what was going on with one of my favorite bands brazilian girls (join them on myspace) and lo & behold they just released a brand new album on august 5th called new york city (the band’s third studio release) the kick-ass first single losing myself is posted below (i switched my ‘monday .mp3′ to tuesday this week) glamorously eccentric lead singer sabina sciubba (who usually covers her eyes) speaks five different languages which she cleverly incorporates into some of their songs giving their overall dance/electro/rock vibe an amazing worldly touch – i had the pleasure of seeing them play live back on halloween of 2006 – i had the best time and danced my ass off (many thanks go out to my pal victoria who first turned me onto brazilian girls) they’re touring right now and will be stopping by los angeles again on september 24th at the wiltern – i think i need to go see them again! popbytes over & out for now…xxoo
