good evening! my darling amy winehouse finally made an appearance last night over at monarch bar – she was booked to DJ but unfortunately she looked even more horrible and dirty than ever before – she looks like a character straight out of ‘night of the living dead’ (but this is so not a movie…) there hasn’t been one small glimmer of hope in months when it comes to her extremely serious & messy drug addiction – this is a woman who picked up five grammy awards earlier this year – now she looks worse than most of the homeless people living in my neighborhood! i’m still hanging onto a small drop of hope that she can somehow manage to turn her life around (on sunday she’ll celebrate her 25th birthday – probably doing sadly what she does best these days – drugs) ms. winehouse is so damn talented – it’s such a shame to see her potential being squandered like it is – it kills me and like i’ve said before – the thought of doing a post about her untimely death really freaks me out – i pray that day doesn’t come anytime soon! popbytes over & out for tonight…xoxo
PS on a quick much lighter side note i must give a special shout out to lionsgate and madea (aka tyler perry who sent over one dozen fancy & delicious cupcakes from crumbs! this weekend mr. perry’s new movie the family that preys opens and audience members will get a special sneak peek at madea’s new film madea goes to jail coming this february! (i’m totally willing to share my cupcakes with ms. winehouse – she could sure use one right about now…)
