BROADWAY IS GETTING READY FOR KATIE HOLMES!

hey hey! the posters recently went up at NYC's gerald schoenfeld theatre - touting the revival of arthur miller's award-winning 1947 play all my sons starring katie holmes, cutie patrick wilson, dianne wiest, and john lithgow which goes into previews on september 18th! when i was in high school 'all my sons' was one of the plays 'the players' put on (i always did backstage stuff) and i must say the material is excellent - i'd be curious to see the new production (directed by simon mcburney) just because of all the press surrounding ms. holmes (stepford wife of tom cruise) she's certainly not a broadway box office draw on her talent alone (however i'd LOVE to see ms. wiest live on stage - she's incredible - along with mr. lithgow of course)

katie (or shall we call her kate?) is currently rehearsing daily and has been spotted all over new york city with daughter suri cruise in tow (pictures from tonight are posted below) who is seriously so damn adorable - those pictures of suri playing with her dolly are simply precious (yet her parents need to get her off the bottle...) i wonder how long all my sons will run and more importantly - what are the theater critics going to say about katie's broadway debut?!? as timely today as the day it was written, the play 'all my sons' was inspired by a true story about a successful businessman who knowingly sold the government defective airplane parts during world war II. a middle-class couple, joe and kate keller, have lost their older son in the war, but kate cannot give up believing that he is still alive. chris, their surviving son, falls in love with his brother's fiancee ann and brings her home to tell them of their new relationship and their plans to marry. in the confrontations that follow, cracks begin to appear in everyone' stories, lies are exposed, and a secret is revealed that could destroy them all...

WHO WILL BE VH1'S GLAM GOD?

hey hey! i simply had to do a post about this new reality show premiering tomorrow night over on VH1 called glam god (watch the trailer below) with host & judge vivica a. fox - because of course i do love all things related to fashion & style BUT one of my dear friends (and fellow long islander) from college jess zaino (adorably pictured below with the heart shaped glasses) is one of the people competing in hair, make up and wardrobe to be crowned a new 'glam god' along with winning $100,000 and a career boost! week after week one star stylist hopeful will be eliminated by ms. fox with help from celebrity stylist cutie phillip bloch and us weekly's melanie bromley - i can't wait to see my pal jess kick some ass - she's awesome and super nice (i do remember one very hilarious incident that happened back in college...but i'll save that for another time...) popbytes over & out for tonight...xxoo

JENNIFER ANISTON TURNS TO BRAD PITT...

good morning! it has only been a few days since word broke that jennifer aniston and john mayer had split up (which he loved talking to the paparazzi about) and already ms. aniston is back on the cover of the latest STAR magazine right next to her ex-hubby brad pitt - complete with claims jennifer is 'hurting after her breakup' (which was inevitable - i didn't see them going the distance) and is turning to brad at the moment via a phone call to france (perhaps for advice about sunglasses? their shades look awfully similar...) i highly doubt this is the case (details featuring brad's mom jane pitt are below) but by featuring this ex-couple on the cover - the magazine is bound to sell to its target demographic - i swear some gals are still way bitter over brad being with angelina jolie (my pal candace (bless her heart) still refers to ms. jolie as a husband stealer! i say it's seriously time to move on...) whether or not jen ever talks to brad again - she'll probably be forever tied to brad in the world of tabloid magazines! popbytes over & out for now...xxoo

The long-distance heart-to-heart actually began when Jen - desperate for a sympathetic ear - called her former mother-in-law, Jane Pitt, on Aug. 13 at Chateau Miraval, where she's staying with Brad, Angelina Jolie and their brood, Star reports in our Sept. 1 issue.

"Jen still calls Jane all the time, and she really needed someone to talk to," an insider says. "And she started telling Jane about her split with John." When Brad walked into the room as Jane was consoling Jen, she simply handed the phone to him. "At first, he didn't know what to say," says the insider. "But he listened very intently and tried to comfort her. He was very patient and attentive."
