BEIJING OLYMPICS '08 OPENING CEREMONY - WOW!

good evening! i hope y'all managed to catch the opening ceremony of the 2008 summer olympics over in beijing, china - i was totally blown away - i've never seen a show quite like that - holy cow! the sheer number of people involved in the massive production was insane and it was all synchronized like clockwork - a totally brilliant & awe-inspiring spectacle (plus it turned out to be ratings gold for NBC) you MUST check out some of the stunning and beautiful photographs posted over on the big picture - gosh i hope both vancouver (2010 winter olympics) and london (2012 summer olympics) are figuring how they can outdo beijing's opening ceremony - it's going to be super difficult to top this one! popbytes over & out for tonight...xxoo

BERNIE MAC - REST IN PEACE

oh no - there's sad news to report that i heard right when i woke up this morning - comedian and actor bernie mac (born bernard jeffrey mccullough) passed away due to complications from pneumonia at the young age of only 50 - i heard he was in a chicago hospital (admitted august 1st) but i thought everything was fine like his publicist said but unfortunately it was his time to go - he was totally hilarious (i loved the bernie mac show) and will be missed by all of hollywood - i'm still in shock over the whole thing - it's so random and very sad :( popbytes over & out for now...xxoo
