good evening! i perhaps caught your attention with the headline – although paris hilton has no association with these new trendy designer gas masks – they do look like something she might wear if there was ever some type of major socialite emergency or disaster! although the gas masks below are looking ‘hot’ as paris would say – they’re just conceptual art – the masks will not be sold (sorry to burst your bubble) designer diddo velema created the pieces to be a statement on today’s mass consumer culture (way out of control – myself included in the mix) he should have played a trick on ms. hilton by getting her to be interested in being a spokesperson – i’m sure for the right amount of money – she would’ve jumped at the chance (i managed to do a quick photoshop job of what she’d look like with the mask on) you must browse some of mr. velema’s other works of art – including presidential nominees in clown face – which totally freaked me out – clowns are spooky!
tonight i’m just chilling like a pop villain with a few glasses of red wine (listening to mariah carey again – you must get her new album E=MC2 (which will top the charts with an expected 500,000 copies sold) it’s as tight as joan rivers‘ face!) i so needed to relax this evening – plus i’m super stoked over getting tickets to the kanye west‘s ‘glow in the dark’ tour which is getting RAVE & off the hook reviews (go read what anne powers of the LA times had to say) although he’s playing at nokia live this coming monday & tuesday – i seriously don’t really like that fairly new venue (i’ve seen like three shows there and each time i was disappointed) so i opted to see mr. west’s show at staples center on june 7th (landing on a saturday which beats seeing a concert on a monday or tuesday anyday!) fuck – i can’t wait! popbytes over & out for tonight…xxoo!
