FROM DJ PAUL V.This a big week for the mashup scene in Los Angeles, as DJ WiiJ makes his debut at club Bootie LA (more on that below). DJ WiiJ (aka DJ Shift-1) also makes great mashups under his other moniker, The Silence Xperiment. So, seeing that Spice Girls nostalgia is kicking into high gear (hell, even Donatella Versace is designing their reunion tour clothes!), here's a good ol' mash featuring them in all their Union Jack glory, getting totally thugged up by the Ying Yang Twins. Dare we ask which Spice Girl is the baddest bitch in this bunch?

OK, so Bootie LA is this Saturday August 4th at Safari Sam's - and we're featuring the Los Angeles debut of DJ WiiJ. He figured out how to hack into Nintendo's Wii - making those 'wii-motes' help trigger his music to make live mashups, which he'll be doing on stage with a guitar player and video show, too. Bootie got picks in LA Weekly, LA City Beat, LA Times Calendar - so come on down and check him out too!
