OH THOSE MTV MOVIE AWARDS...

well hello hello hello! i'm coming to you 'live' from a 'blogger viewing room' over at the MTV movie awards! i really had no clue what to expect but i figured i would at least head over and see what was going! this year the show is being held over at the gibson amphitheatre which is part of the whole universal studios complex - a five minute drive from popbytes' humble abode! although they've (MTV) placed a bunch of restrictions on us bloggers - including no cameras (i totally should have brought it anyways - i'm always trying to obey the rules but then i get screwed) when i first arrived i was way annoyed - i kept thinking what the hell is the point of inviting us down?!? i seriously could have easily done what i'm doing from the comfort of my own living room...

yet thankfully i ran into ms. lisa from a socialite's life who is always a blast to hang around - so we've been busy catching up on both celebrity & personal gossip! i've also met some other great people including marjorie (meevee), hallie (tmz), kimmy (ivillage), elina (laist), and jared (just jared) and as a bonus i ran into one of my hollyscoop girls diana - gosh i love my hollyscoop gals! ok so here we go - ms. silverman is about to take to the stage! i'll be back with more...stay tuned!


OMG! sarah nailed the opening - totally sassy - just the way we like her! although i know one person who probably isn't feeling her at the moment - yup paris hilton who is making her 'last' public appearance before going to the slammer! sarah joked that the prison would be painting the bars to look like penises and she was worried that ms. hilton would probably end up busting her teeth on them - ha! plus they nabbed a sour pussed reaction shot from ms. hilton - i loved it! (below are the before & after the joke shots) i don't know what MTV thought about her opening but ms. silverman should open every awards show there is - she rocks!




oh look it's my darling victoria beckham (i was just interviewed a few days ago by a UK production company on the beckhams' move to LA which went very well!) introducing rihanna performing her super hot single umbrella with jay-z! oh btw don't bother looking for beyonce in the crowd - she's over in europe doing shows or some bullshit like that...

i'm not really keeping track of the winners - i'll make sure to link to the complete list at the end - as we know these awards are really more for fun than anything - this certainly isn't the oscars but i did get a chuckle out of will ferrell & sacha baron cohen making out after they nabbed the 'best kiss' award for talladega nights!

cameron diaz's legs are looking way long & super hot - she was up on stage introducing mike meyers who is about to get some kinda lifetime achievement award - i wonder if ms. diaz ran into jessica biel yet?!? oh popbytes does love a good catfight! oh pardon me it's a 'generation' award for mr. meyers...

here comes my gal amy winehouse being introduced by bruce willis! (wasn't he trying to get with her a few months back?!?) she's performing rehab again...i was hoping she'd sing another track but she did an awesome job - and looked nice and tan (i know she went tanning today because she stopped by where my pal zach works for a bite to eat after getting her color on!)


special props must go out to dane cook who so far has been the only talent to stop by the 'blogger room' and my new friend hallie (a kick-ass intern for TMZ - they should be proud to have her!) was spot on with some great questions including which jessica was a better kisser - alba or simpson? dane took the high road and said he couldn't answer because one of the jessica's would kick his ass (my bets are all on alba!) also andy signore stopped by - he won the best spoof award for his united 300 short and he was totally thrilled with his win!

just now i've just been informed my least favorite couple is about to stop by...heidi montag & spencer pratt - ugh! ok so i asked ms. montag right off the bat what's going on with her offer to pose naked in playboy - apparently the decision is still up in the air (i think they want $5 million!) i then told her 'well they do look good' (referring to her recently enhanced chest) which was a slight stab but in a nice way...ha ha ha! the couple confirmed they will be on the upcoming season the hills (they're shooting right now) which heidi promises to be the best season yet...who knows but the publicist pulled them out pretty quickly - before i started chanting lauren conrad rules - i think they could tell there was blood in the water and if they stayed any longer - we would have eaten them alive!

PS i thought paris hilton was going to be presenting an award but perhaps after ms. silverman's joke she said no no no...
