hey hey! i wanted to remind everyone that a new series called meadowlands premieres tonight on showtime (helping to fill the void after last week’s season finale of the tudors) i had the good fortune to watch the first four episodes and i highly recommend it! the story focuses on the brogan family who find themselves ‘dumped’ in a strange new town called ‘meadowlands’ – and everything is not as it appears…there are secrets & lies around every corner! the show is very quirky & dark – something we’d never see on regular network television – it totally has a slight david lynch feel to the whole thing! the cast is incredible headed up by david morrissey as ‘danny brogan’ – along with his wife ‘evelyn brogan’ (played by lucy cohu) and their two kids ‘zoe’ & ‘mark’ (felicity jones & cutie pie harry treadway – he was also in ‘brothers of the head’ and will star in the upcoming biopic about the band ‘joy division’) i don’t want to give away too much of the plot (the opening scene is embedded below) things for sure get interesting & wacky in meadowlands (plus it certainly beats HBO‘s new way lame show john from cincinnati – i couldn’t even make it through the first episode!) popbytes over & out for now…xxoo!
