oh man there’s sad news from yesterday – movie critic joel siegel passed away at the age of 63 having lost his long battle with colon cancer – he had been with ABC news since 1976 – i always loved his humor and punchy good natured reviews! (a critic that people could trust – joel kept things simple & real) he was actually working right up until the end – i just saw him a few weeks ago on TV – so when i heard the news of his death i was surprised & saddened – he will surely be missed – good morning america won’t be the same without mr. siegel! popbytes over & out for now – xxoo
joel was an important part of abc news and we will miss him. he was a brilliant reviewer and a great reporter. but much more, he was our dear friend and colleague. our thoughts and prayers are with his family. – david westin, president ABC news
