hey hey! this week's STAR magazine 'uncovers' a brewing drama between fergie & nelly furtado who apparently don't care for each other very much - i so got a kick out of the picture below - ms. furtado is making the best (bird) face - i simply had to add my own captions! read more on the gals apparent beef with each other below - if i had to take sides i'd probably go with nelly but fergie seems more fun! (plus she still has that hot boyfriend josh duhamel - heaven only knows how she has managed to hold onto him!) popbytes over & out for now...xxoo!

a source tells star that in fergie's new song 'impacto,' (with daddy yankee) she refers to the "promiscuous" singer, saying, "i ain't promiscuous, the realest chick up in this...i'ma pull your wig back!" the source says the beef started several months ago at an l.a. awards show when nelly asked fergie, "what's your problem? why are you dissing me in your song 'fergalicious'?" fergie denied she was attacking her, but it seems nelly won't give up: "nelly then dissed fergie in the new song 'give it to me,' and now they're in serious competition!" says the source.

Nelly's not allowed to care about her latin roots because she's a Canadian??? She's still latina like latin Americans in South America and Central America and North America. The term hispanic came about because of Hispania which is modern day Spain and Portugal. LATINA and LATINO means LATIN in english. It's not the name of a country ROTFL. I would really like to know when Nelly claimed to be LATINO because she is very proud of her GYPSY CULTURE AND PORTUGUESE BACKGROUND and i have never heard her claim to be LATINO. Portuguese people tend to claim that they are white not latino IF they are from Portugal. If they were born in Canada or in America that could be a different story due to the fact that they have to choose to fit in a racial catagory: caucasian, asian, latino, african american or other. I agree, I think Nelly is feeling guilty. I don't think Fergie meant anything by that at all. It's not like Nelly made up the word "Promiscuous" and that its the first time the word has ever been used. This feud is absolutely ridiculous. Both are talented but I have to say, Nellys voice is very very annoying. She was falling off until Timbaland and Timberlake had to come and save her ass and they are the ones who keep her songs hits.
