hey y’all! i’ve always had a soft spot in my heart for fantasia – the season she won american idol was probably my favorite ever – plus that third time around also introduced us to the incredible academy award winner (gosh how cool is that?!?) jennifer hudson! anyways this week ms. barrino released her new video for the song when i see u which i had pegged as a personal favorite off her second self-titled album – it’s a great song and the video also happens to remind me of new york city…
since one of the things i miss most about NYC (besides friends & family) is going to see broadway shows (oh it’s just not the same in LA) i’m thinking next week when i’m there i seriously need to go see fantasia in the color purple! besides being one of my favorite movies ever (based on a novel by alice walker) i’ve heard only great things about the show and i’d love to see it! right now i’m playing things by ear but i’ll let you know what happens! popbytes over & out for tonight…xxoo!
