good evening! did anyone else happen to catch idol winner fantasia the other night performing on american idol? she sang a beautiful song from the broadway show the color purple called i’m here and damn ms. barrino totally blew me away! i’d really love to catch her when she takes on the role of ‘celie’ starting april 10th…i’ve heard the show is very decent and after hearing that song i’m convinced i need to see the show – especially since i adore the movie so much – it’s one of my favorites! (and besides i’m long overdue for a trip back east!)
i hope everyone had a great day – i got a lot of busy work done for tomorrow – i’m so excited for the oscars! i also caught the independent spirit awards (here’s a list of winners) which took place in santa monica & aired over on IFC today – hosted by one of my favorite gals sarah silverman who did a superb & sassy job – oh my gosh she cracks me up! anyways please make sure to stop in tomorrow for hollywood’s big day – popbytes over & out for tonight – xxoo!
