FANTASIA - I'M HERE - LIVE ON IDOL!

good evening! did anyone else happen to catch idol winner fantasia the other night performing on american idol? she sang a beautiful song from the broadway show the color purple called i'm here and damn ms. barrino totally blew me away! i'd really love to catch her when she takes on the role of 'celie' starting april 10th...i've heard the show is very decent and after hearing that song i'm convinced i need to see the show - especially since i adore the movie so much - it's one of my favorites! (and besides i'm long overdue for a trip back east!)

good morning - happy friday! here we've got the brand new christina aguilera video for candyman which is the third single from her double disc album 'back to basics' - i think she looks totally adorable in the video (working a couple of different looks) but honestly i'm not super crazy about the song - it's fun but the track just doesn't feel like strong 'single' material! i can't imagine hearing this on the radio a lot but i could be wrong...i wonder if she's already lined up the fourth single? she'll also be playing in los angeles soon when her back to basics tour comes to town - i haven't secured tickets yet though - i think it's too late now :( i'll live though! popbytes over & out for now...xxoo!

good evening! i was just talking the other day at work about 1992's 'erotic thriller' poison ivy (probably not the type of movie to talk about at your office too much) it's one of those silly campy flicks and drew barrymore is sinfully delicious as an obsessed teenager...gosh our ms. barrymore sure has come a long way since then - her whole life has certainly been one of the more interesting ones amongst hollywood celebrities (she's a total free spirit) girlfriend has been to the edge and back again (why can't britney spears hang out with cool chill people like drew?) now she's the latest face for the march issue of jane magazine - i simply adore the photo they picked for the cover - not your typical covershot but let's not forget drew is not your typical covergirl! good evening! did you think anyone else besides britney spears would be featured on the latest cover of STAR magazine? she's for sure the big main topic at the moment and just today she's apparently put herself back in rehab (check out this picture of a bald britney in rehab) i'd much rather dissect her breakdown than try to piece together the mystery of anna nicole smith...what a fucking circus that whole sad mess is - i still can't believe she's gone! i seriously doubt there'll be anyone quite like her - oh yes the mold was broken when our dear ms. anna first arrived!

anyways getting back to ms. spears - there's one person who can be blamed for this icky situation - yes i know people do what they're going to do but seriously let's all point the finger at paris hilton who was all up being britney's new BFF and now she won't even comment about the recent turn of events plus there's rumors floating around that she was making fun of britney over the weekend! oh yeah ms. hilton is a really nice person...

ok yes britney is a grown-up and the mother of two small children yet people do find themselves in odd predicaments but you must admit everything went quickly south once paris showed up! (gosh i can totally imagine that this was some sick prank conjured up by ms. hilton & her minions - 'hey paris why don't you start hanging out with britney...show her a good time and see what happens...') one day britney's ice skating - a few weeks later she's flashing her goods with ms. hilton at her side - you do the math!

oh happy day - i'm thrilled to post on this...i just got an email with details on the upcoming tori amos album entitled american doll posse which will be tori's 9th studio release and is due out may 1st on epic records! what got me even more excited was when i saw the promo picture attached...just look at tori with a bible in one hand while the other hand has the word shame scrawled on it - then there's her bloody left leg with the straps broken on her shoes - so cool and way fucked up! (we wouldn't expect anything less from ms. amos)

i love this picture and now i'm beyond excited & intrigued to get a listen to her new album and see where she takes us this time around! (maybe britney spears thought a shaved head would keep her cooler) today was more bearable but i ended up getting trapped inside playing rayman: raving rabbids on my nintendo wii...my pal kevin was right - the game is so darn addictive! i can't express how impressed i am by the wii - it's truly incredible and i think everyone should have one! popbytes over & out for now...xxoo!
