good evening! oh my gosh i'm still in shock over britney spears shaving & tattooing escapade from last night! she must have totally freaked out her two boys when she got back home! either this is a cleansing and washing away of all her recent party & puke energy or it's a total sign that she really needs help! where is mom lynne?!? i can't wait to see what her next move will be! but in the end it will all come down to that oh so super important comeback album...i'd love to see her make a kick-ass album like justin timberlake or nelly furtado (who both landed in my top ten fave albums of '06) yet if she pulls a jessica simpson mess album on us then she's done! (ms. simpson's album was one of the very worst from last year!) over on the side we've got sheryl crow rockin' her long locks in a new advert for revlon hair color...which is certainly one thing ms. spears won't be needing for at least a few weeks (her hair was probably close to falling out anyways with all the recent dye jobs)

she needs to grow it out and go blonde and make some sorta pixie look work? what does everyone else think? the one thing i don't want to see on britney's head is a wig or one of jessica's hairdo catastrophes...

oh my goodness - i can't fucking believe this!!! britney spears shaved her entire head! she's bald just like her snatch! (read the x17 post) oh my gosh - oh my word - i'm losing my mind! today was a doozy of a rollercoaster with ms. spears...she was in rehab - she was out of rehab - actually according to her publicists she was simply on a plane! so tonight i'm sitting down settling into my weekend when all of a sudden the 11pm news comes on with word that britney spears shaved her head - i literally almost passed out!!! i quickly grabbed my camera and snapped the pictures below of her at a sherman oaks (oh the valley!) tattoo parlor where she got a small tatt of red lips on her wrist! her mom lynne spears must be totally wetting herself over this latest escapade and please make sure to check out the britney story over at thatotherblog...

one eyewitness at the tattoo parlor said she seemed scattered and confused and wasn't answering a lot of questions plus she hinted that britney may have gotten more than one tattoo!!! oh man ms. spears is a total mess - it's unbelievable - she needs help and fast! although i will say the new shaved look is kinda hot...i've always been a big fan of sinead o'connor & the whole demi moore 'GI jane' look! even though i'm all wired over the latest 'loop de loop' with britney i must sleep soon! popbytes over & out for tonight...xxoo!

PS ok so i was just walking my two dogs (fidel & parker) and this cab pulled over right in front of my building and this girl swung the door open and puked her guts out right on the street!!! i was like oh my gosh how britney of her...i quickly ran upstairs to witness the drama from my balcony - she finished her business and closed the door and the cab took off! oh i'll i bet that the cab driver was beyond thankful she gave him the 'i'm gonna puke so pull over' warning! there's nothing like the smell of puke in cab...

hey kiddies! oh yes oscar mania is in the air! (make sure to hop over to my pal nathaniel's oscar symposium @ film experience) the 'fan' bleachers have already been set out on hollywood blvd...of course i love this time of year but once the awards setup is in full swing the blvd gets blocked off creating a really nasty & frenzied traffic nightmare!

KATIE HOLMES GOES GREEN WITH JEALOUSY...

oh who doesn't love a little jealousy drama - this week's STAR magazine has their eyes on katie holmes who may be growing green with jealousy over jessica alba who is starring in an upcoming tom cruise production called 'the eye' (of xenu) but tom won't be on screen with ms. alba - he's only playing producer - so ms. holmes probably has nothing to worry about (at least not yet anyways) besides she's got fashion plans of her own...

there's two things i find kinda funny about this article...the first is the overall green color which is totally a hue of jealousy (at first i was all they're prepping for st. patrick's day but then i pieced two & two together...) next if you look closely at tom's left hand it looks like he's holding hands with ms. alba which i doubt has happened (someone correct me if i'm wrong?) upon first glance it looks like the three of them were together at some event but that's just the magic of a little program called photoshop! popbytes over & out for now...xxoo!

tom cruise's production company is hard at work on its newest movie, but tom's wife may want him to have nothing to do with it. that's because the film, a supernatural thriller called the eye, stars hottie jessica alba! "i wonder if katie's jealous of jessica and a little threatened by her," a source tells star. "i wouldn't be surprised if tom had a crush on jessica before katie ever came onto the scene. he's always admired her good looks and fantastic physique." and, some fans may remember reports that he tried to woo her back in 2005 - before settling on katie as his bride.

RING THE ALARM! IS BRANGELINA IN DANGER?!?

good evening! this week's STAR magazine moves on from pouncing on a grieving angelina jolie to worrying about her safety while living down in new orleans but let's not forget that louisiana city is just one of their many global residences - the jolie-pitt clan seems to be constantly on the move all around the world! i've never been to 'the big easy' but i'd sure love to go someday (oh my gosh i haven't had a vacation in a really long time...when i do finally get away there has to be net access!) the article paints quite a dismal & sad portrait of the ravaged city with crime on the rise and tons of areas still not even close to being fully cleaned up & rebuilt from the terrible devastation of hurricane katrina (i doubt many places will ever be the same again) i'm quite sure brangelina will be fine and i think it's great the couple and their family have brought a little spotlight to the city (even if they do have to have their wits about them ) new orleans sure needs all the love & attention it can get! popbytes over & out for tonight...xxoo!

the jolie-pitts return to the big easy with murders on the rise and neighbors fearing for their safety perhaps even more alarming, it seems that the couple has also dispensed with much of the security detail that surrounded them on the west coast. good morning! of course this week's STAR magazine cover is all about anna nicole smith...oh the drama! (at least they used a decent & cute picture of her and the baby) if aaron spelling were still alive he could've concepted a new primetime soap opera - gosh i've been watching soaps for years and this whole situation is totally on par with some of the craziest plotlines ever! right now the details are being rehashed over & over again (and it's growing way tired)

right now i'm watching good morning america where they're doing a whole bit on the methadone found in her fridge! the two main questions i'm looking for answers on is who is the father of baby dannielynn hope & what actually killed ms. smith? this story will be carrying on for quite a long time and will for sure be on board with all the other cover-up / conspiracy theory crimes (marilyn, elvis, JFK, & princess diana)

HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY!

FALL OUT BOY GOT STREAMED LIVE...

good evening! i'm a little backed up on my posts so please try to bear with me! i just saw an amazing set played by the super talented patty griffin over at the hotel cafe which was so brilliant (i'll do a more in-depth post on tonight's show later this week...) but i still needed to write about seeing fall out boy on saturday night where i caught them play at the roxy which was streamed live over on AOL music - so thankfully the show started on time!

i'll be the very first person to admit to not being a huge fan of the band (secretly i just wanted to see bassist pete wentz in person - oh i've got such a crush on him - i still can't believe he goes out with ashlee simpson!) but after running into my friend sam from filter magazine who provided lots of insight & tidbits about the band (she was more of a fan 'back in the day') i appreciated the show a lot more and the fans rocking out in the crowd were totally eating up everything the boys did - it was great to see the band's very devout followers have themselves an awesome time!

i was a drop out of my normal concert element but they really put on a great live energetic show! i also spotted avril lavigne's husband derek whibley (from sum 41) at the show (who was wearing his wedding ring but there was no sign of the wife) plus we saw dennis hof who you may know from HBO's cathouse series (about that legal brothel in nevada) overall by the end i had a rockin' fun time! you can watch the entire show by clicking over below - many special thanks to kelly who hooked me up and karen who took excellent care of us that night! popbytes over & out for tonight...xxoo!

ROMEO + JULIET HIT THE TEN YEAR MARK!

good morning boys & girls! since today is the last day my folks are in town i took the day off and was able to sleep in a bit today! anyways i can't believe that baz luhrmann's film romeo + juliet which starred leonardo dicaprio & claire danes as the infamous star-crossed lovers is hitting the ten year mark (the film was first released back in november of '96)

of course one of the best things about the film was the musically delicious soundtrack and to mark the ten year anniversary the soundtrack is being re-released with four bonus tracks including an updated version of everybody's free (to wear sunscreen) which you can listen to below along with songs from the cardigans & radiohead! so although technically this is my 'monday .mp3' column - i thought these streams were a fun thing to feature (even though it's making me feel a drop older!) popbytes over & out for now...xxoo!

well hello hello hello everyone! oh yes it's the start of the 49th annual grammy awards...again i hate the fact that i'm blogging the show on a west coast delay but i guess that's a small price to pay for the gorgeous weather this weekend here in los angeles! the funny part of all this is i've got my mom & dad over on the couch - i'm forcing them to watch the grammys although they could care less...i told 'em they'd just have to grin and bear it...but i'm finding myself having to explain who everyone is (my mom simply didn't care for fergie's look) anyways i'll be checking in throughout the show...many thanks to gossip rocks for the pictures below which i'll scatter through the post!

thank heavens the show is over (and surprisingly my parents are both still awake...the quote from my dear mom is 'i didn't think it was as bad as i thought it would be') so it looks like mary j. blige & the dixie chicks were the big winners and all of them totally deserved the accolades! overall the show went pretty smooth - the key to avoiding boredom is mixing the boring talk & awards with performances!

finally i'm going to say who i thought was best dressed of the evening and surprisingly i'm going to award vanessa minnillo (girlfriend to cutie nick lachey) the honors (she's featured in grammy fashions picture #8) metallics are so in - she looked great plus i loved the bit of white trim at the bottom of the dress - although i basically can't stand vanessa i'll say that she looked fucking hot tonight!

i'm over & out for tonight (although i'm a bit freaked out about scarlett johansson recording an album - can someone please tell me why?!?) much love to all as always! rock & blog on...here's to next year's 50th grammy show - xxoo!

JUSTIN TIMBERLAKE'S NEW VIDEO...NOT SO GOOD

good morning everybody...it's grammy day! i'll be watching tonight and i may just dabble in a little live blogging...it always sounds like a good idea but most award shows are beyond boring but at least there are performances during tonight's show which usually helps to break things up! (i'm still irked by the west coast delay...the best thing about the oscars is it airing on both coasts at the same time!)

anyways did you all see the new justin timberlake video for his kick-ass latest single what goes around... - now i love the song and it was an immediate favorite track off justin's futuresex/lovesounds album but i must say i think the video totally sucks ass - i don't like it at all! whoever decided to make it a mini-movie with a plotline involving a 'cheating' scarlett johansson obviously had poor judgment! i hate how the song cuts in and out - the acting scenes are completely ridiculous - it's really terrible! y'all know me by now i don't usually slam stuff but this deserves it - hopefully mr. timberlake will redeem himself with his performance at the grammys tonight! popbytes over & out for now...xxoo!
