good morning! so i'll be the first to admit that i've never seen an epsiode of the L word even though it has already played three seasons over on showtime...well the 4th season premieres tonight and i was able to watch the first six episodes of the season - i figured i would give it a chance! can i tell you that i started watching them & became instantly hooked and sat through all the episodes in a marathon of sorts! by the time it was all over - i could've watched a few more episodes! oh i can't wait to see what happens in the second half of the season!
even though i had no clue what was going on it wasn't too hard to get drawn into all the storylines and the cast is simply incredible with the likes of jennifer beals, pam grier, and mia kirshner and this season the ladies are joined by always awesome cybill shepherd (playing 'phyllis' - who comes out of the closet a bit later in life after marriage and kids) and oscar-winner marlee matlin who gets involved with beal's character 'bette' and they've also brought in janina gavankar who plays promiscuous 'papi' and brings some spicy east LA flavor to the girls and their west hollywood world!
if you're already a fan of the show i'm sure you'll be tuning in and if you haven't seen before i would recommend watching and for all you fans of ladies out there - oh my word there's a ton of hot girl on girl steamy action! you know me i always like things on the edgy & provocative side and the L word fits right in there! popbytes over & out for now...xxoo!
I like the show too, but I prefer the funny parts to all the drama of the show (if that makes any sense?). I was a Sex and the City addict, so the funny parts bring that show back for me somewhat (sob!). I'm watching it on dvd...I'm somewhere into Season 2, so I don't want to read your spoilers! :)

I see they finally brought in a black character too and new Papi looks good ( shes no Carmen though!).

i love Lword!! so...what happens to carmen?? she was my favorite and now she's not in the ads and i had to work during the premiere last night!! and i agree with leslie about the funny and sex and the city parts. sometimes they get TOO graphic sexually-like not going towards the plot...
