there’s sad news today! yvonne decarlo passed away today at the very ripe age of 84 – although she did a ton of film/TV/stage work she’ll probably be best remembered as the lovable vampire mom ‘lily munster’ on the 60′s classic TV show the munsters!
oh man i loved watching reruns of that show when i was a kid and mrs. munster was one of the best characters! (it only ran two seasons!) of course i’ve got to mention fred gwynne and al lewis – now there’s a reunion taking place up above! gosh ms. decarlo was gorgeous when she was younger – she had this great eerie quality while still managing to be beautiful! she had herself an incredible career even hitting the broadway stage in ’71 starring in one of my favorite musicals ever…stephen sondheim‘s follies! yvonne you will for sure be missed! popbytes over & out for tonight…xxoo!
