good evening y’all! so ever since i saw dreamgirls last week i felt a little lost on what my next big film anticipation would be? well i’m starting to think this film called 300 which is due to open on march 9th fits the bill perfectly! the trailer which is posted below just blew me away – it looks like a crazy sick fucked up insanity filled film (in a totally good way of course!) it’s a bloody & violent tale of ancient spartans (oh good times back then) based on a comic novel by the super talented frank miller (who is also the genius responsible for the material behind sin city – which is hands down one of the coolest movies i’ve ever seen! someone better get on the second one quick (a dame to kill for) – plus they better make sure angelina jolie stars!)
in short term film prospects – i really need to go & see charlotte’s web and help wilbur’s lagging box office figures – it’s one of my favorite stories and i’m sure i’ll enjoy it! popbytes over & out for tonight…xxoo!
The film 300 is faithfully adapted from the graphic novel 300 by Frank Miller in which Spartan King Leonidas (Gerard Butler) and 300 Spartans fought to the last man against Persian King Xerxes (Rodrigo Santoro) and his massive army. Facing insurmountable odds, the Spartans’ heroism and sacrifice inspires all of Greece to unite against the Persian invaders. The story is based on the famous Battle of Thermopylae which took place in the summer of 480 BC and was a turning point of the Greco-Persian wars.
