ah yes it's tuesday which means i have something to toss out to you all! (i'm going to try and make this a regular thing for tuesdays) so shawn colvin has been making music since the seventies and has had a long healthy career that included nabbing the grammy back in '96 for song & record of the year for her tune sunny came home (watch the video) off her amazing album a few small repairs! well just this past september she released an amazing new album called these four walls...i've been a huge fan of ms. colvin for many years and i've got all her albums and i must say this latest release is right up there with her previous work - you can sample a few songs over here...

PS there's an incredible collectors album called shades of indigo (which thankfully i own) where ms. colvin interviews the indigo girls cut with live tracks! i went to see amy & emily last night at the wiltern - it was amazing! i'll be posting more on the show this week...
